The thing that sucks now is that because supply shortages stores diecast supplies are small and scalpers come and buy all of the stores stock and then resells them online for double the price leaving us real collectors in the dust having to pay double the price and shipping for a diecast we need to complete a collection or a car we’ve been looking for a long time…..

I wish I was out in 2021 buying nascar diecasts. That was the golden era so far ngl

I got a lot of the winners cycle aka hasbros ones

I'm still mildly upset we haven't seen a beer car since the 2016 Darlington wave. The big blank spots on harvicks cars bother me to no end.

Yes. That Harvick car had a special box though, so I’d imagine that it wouldn’t be cost effective to manufacture that style box for only 5-6 cars a year.

I remember the days of the Hasbro Winners Circle Diecast. I was upset when they stopped making these for the stores. I started collecting in 2015 with the Spin Master. Then Lionel took over and I’ve been collecting ever since. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to go to my Walmart’s because of the virus. My Target had the newest wave, but are all sold out except for two Kyle Busch Snickers White cars. I’ve noticed on the newer 1/87s they stopped putting the Goodyear logos on the tires.

My first Lionel Authentic was Dale Jr's 2017 Axalta car. I got it for my 10th birthday, unfortunately little ol me decided to make a "custom" by putting sharpie on the hood, because I wanted to make a "raced version" and unfortunately, I have lost the car and don't where it's at.

I wish NASCAR Authentics would make a proper 1:24 scale with clear windows, rubber tires and opening hoods...charge about $30...I would totally buy a Chase Elliott car like that.

I got to 6 differt walmarts and 1 target always empty except a few 1,87s and they suck

spin master i think has made the diecast better in a way

I basically grew up with spin master They had better quality than Lionel Sure, they were weird and boxy, but they were cool!

I actually have the whole 2019 Daytona wave (well, I think.)

A true history of diecasts would of talked about Racing Champions, Hot Wheels and Team Caliber. Not just Lionel.

Mine was Aric Almirola's 2015 throwback, while my first ever gen 6 came from spinmaster, was Kasey kane's quacker state car

Good video...good info....I still stand by what I've said for years, let's start making these diecast here in the US ...why do we have to wait for a country that really doesnt trust us to bring them over. Shipping problems here dont help things either. I know they will cost more, but I'm willing to purchase them still. Thanks

And now they have PTC every 2 waves. Also, they changed the name from PTC to something else, but it's still the same poor quality.

I actually kinda like the 1:24s
