Best memory of Mac-Mac was Mortal Kombat Trilogy- the best MK game to me. The combos, fatalities, brutalities, and finally getting to play as Ermac was awesome.

Ermac was literally one of my favorites when i started playing mk9 and loved him ever since.

Ermac really is one of my all time Favs! Having played MK since it came out this is one kharacter that had amazing growth through the series!

It’s a cool idea that Ermac being one of many is kinda like all the ppl that spread all the rumors back then so they kinda used the real rumor as source for the lore

To be fair they did that a lot. I think the only rumor we didn't have fulfilled was Hornbuckle. The MK team absolutely used the rumors, and stupid gags. Like, Rain...is a purple Prince. Purple rain, the prince. Wild.

I like MK1’s version of Ermac. With that said my favorite fight with Ermac was in Shaolin Monks. It was an unexpected fight that I didn’t know was there until I did some random exploring and found him

I love how Ermac was introduced/created, and this game allowed us to see how someone being a fusion of Souls was made.

Ermac from the 3D era was best Ermac. Dude fought all 5 of the main DA fighters SOLO. Kung Lao, Sonya, Johnny, Jax, and Kitana. And he hooked my boy Kenshi up with powers.

I like to think Ermac's MKX ending is canon, and Shang Tsung took control of the vessel and reincarnated himself by absorbing the souls within. The Shang Tsung we see in the Aftermath expansion is actually present day Shang who got trapped in the void when Kronika arrived. This is why he was an old man when we first see him. Shang was probably plotting in the shadows between the events of MKX and MK11.

13:54 In Ermac's mkx ladder ending he's killed by shang tsung stealing his souls to restore himself back to the living thats why he's not in mk11 if im correct. (If im wrong or missing detail I'd like to know)

History behind the warrior, if you don't have a video on it, highly recommend covering all the fan rumored characters and which ones turned into real characters or not. Hornbuckle is all but forgotten now.

Ermac was not in 11 because maybe his tower ending was true, somehow the soul of Shang Tsung was gone inside Ermac in MKX and being the most powerful soul he freed himself and "sucking" the souls from an already week and decaying Ermac, he came back to life...that's why Tsung is in MK11 but not Ermac....I guess.

I find it interesting that the hoax of Ermac being fought "at the statues" would get referenced in Shaolin Monks, as that is where you can optionally fight him. You just KNOW that was done on purpose.

when i was about 8 i was watching 2 older kids play MK2 in the wastelands of outworld stage i saw smoke drop before the match started and say "ermac Who" then jump back up,i have never been able to see this again and cant find any info on it but i know i saw it ... mandella effect maybe ?

It’s really unfortunate that the royal family lost control of Ermac I was hoping that they would both somehow be revived at some point oh well I guess

I don’t really that Jerrod wads up being in control of Ermac in the new era. I like it a lot better with there not being any one individual taking precedence over the others within Ermac. I also don’t really like his face in that game either. But he’s still one of my favorite character’s regardless.

I don't so much care about the face thing -playable Ermac seems to be getting the traditional MK ninja mask anyway- but otherwise I agree 100%. 'Collection of souls' Ermac is a lot cooler than just 'Jerrod'. The way he talks in the trailer (when Reptile says 'you've changed', Ermac responds 'we believe for the better') makes me think he's not going to be Jerrod, though.

Since Jerrod's soul is inside Ermac, does anyone think Travis Willingham could have voiced Jerrod? Not his actual VA in the game, but he did voice Old Raiden in Liu Kang's chapter and sounds alike. Maybe next game? I say, why not?

Did anyone else think his turn against Mileena in MKX made no sense? Like he was made by Shao Kan to fill out his commands and wishes which would have included having Mileena become the new Kan. Plus how did Reptile and Ermac not know Mileena was created in the fleshpits? It's not like Kitana had a sister that they just happened to never meet in the years they worked for Shao Kan, and in MK9 Shao Kan was pretty open about Shang tsung creating her.

What movie do you play during the MK videos?

I gotta say, not to be negative but i really miss your old style of narrating, I used to love relaxing on a night to your video's but the past year youve tried to add these dynamics to your voice that makes a little more jarring and hard to chill to. Its like youre jumping into the mic at the start of every sentence then slowly pulling away where as it used to be a nice even volume. again sorry to be negative still love the content!

I think its probably a bi-product of doing commentary on the side, the crossover has definitely bled over to the KZread side of things I feel, Ill defintely take this in mind though as it has been rather hard on my voice recently so dialling things down might be a good idea in hindsight

First! (more or less)

I remember getting ultimate mk3 for a Christmas present back in the day. I was still rocking the Sega mage drive at that stage and loved that game. It brought me so many hours of ultraviolet joy. Mk1, 2 and ultimate 3 are my personal top 3 MK's. I've always been a massive fan of the franchise but I just can't seem to get into the recent titles atall. Must be finally getting old.
