He was also the only Ghostbuster to actively try and throw hands when he was pissed off.

3:38 Funny coincidence, in the German dub of GB II the dialogue between Ray and Egon goes like this: Ray: "You mean you never even had a soccer ball?" Egon: "We had half a soccer ball. I had to share it with my brother."
It’s the hair. The hair is indeed beyond compare, nobody can rock a pomp like Harold Ramis, Godspeed you magnificent man.
The scene with Egon's ghost in Afterlife brought a tear to my eye.
Egons deadpan delivery and off the cuff science babble made Ghostbusters. The perfect pairing with Ray's excitable personality, Peter's skeptic one, and Winston's real world view.
this touched my heart, have been a fan of Harold Ramis and his works since childhood with STRIPES and GHOSTBUSTERS. This tribute is a genuine love-letter to the life that he breathed into Egon. Thanks for the hard work you put into this video!

Now I'm asking please let Harold's Ramis this rest in peace. But no offense I think all of you are overdoing his character too much.
The last 30 seconds of this video had me teary eyed. Harold and his friends created a world of comedy and drama, the likes have yet to be repeated this day in age. This video shows that dedication to the characters he created. Thank you for putting the heart into this tribute to Egon.

Egon has been my favorite Ghostbuster and ALWAYS will be.
Egon was always my favorite GB because I related most to him, sad he wasn't here for GB3 but was good closure in Afterlife
The only notes I have for this is that I wish there were more. This is an excellent tribute to both the man and the character himself. Will miss the hell outta him.
I genuinely welled up, while I prefer some bits to the first take this hits more to the heart and a loving tribute to our favorite junkfood loving Ghostbuster
a beautiful video honoring a great mind. we salute you, Harold. Rest in Peace.
Sniff.. RIP Harold Ramis/and now Dr. Egon Spengler. I was drawn to your comedy movies without even knowing you had a hand in them, that you either wrote and/or directed and/or acted in them until I looked them up. After reading Violet's book now I am deeply heartbroken sad again, why do bad things happen to super good people. You and Egon are my heroes and will be greatly missed. Wish I could have met you and at least maybe told you that. Thanks for the memories and the laughs, I need to go watch one of your movies now. Thank you for this tribute and video. ;0)
I wish I could have met Harold Ramis before his passing.
Alright, now I’m crying at the ending. Ouch.
A story based around Egon being a one man army against ghosts would be cool to see set after he runs off with all the gear and tech
Egon is my favorite Ghosbuster. Your video is a wonderful tribute to the character and a such a respectful homage to the creative mind of Harold Ramis. Way to go!!

This was a great video to my favourite Ghostbuster - Egon Spengler, played by the late, great Harold Ramis.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who got a little bit emotional at the end
Seeing Harolds grave made me tear up, rip you beautiful soul
My first thought was, "I'm going to give this a chance...please don't ruin Egon."( I've never watched this channel before).. I've been a Ghostbuster fan since I was a kid. I still research the paranormal to this day because of Egon. That said, this was a beautiful way to describe and honor Harold Ramis and the character Dr. Egon Spengler. That ending where so much thought and care went into just Stay Puft, along with his scenes, man that got me! Thank you Channeling Spirits for doing such a great job on this! And to think this incredible character has ever only been played by two people. the great Harold Ramis (live-action) and the great Maurice LaMarche (animation).

It’s probably a reference to the concept art for a proposed animated reboot of Doctor Who, some fans thought the Doctor looked a little bit like TRG’s Egon
Just wow. Egon/Harold was so much a special soul that the world got to enjoy for a while and then he became bigger than the world.
Thank you for making this video. I love Harold Ramis and his characters, especially Egon. This was beautiful tribute to both Harold and Egon.
Egon my favorite ghostbuster!
Beautiful work here. We love you Harold/Egon.
Great video, but... Whyyyy did you make me want to cry at the end??? 😭 Ohhh, Harold, we miss you so!! ❤❤❤
This was incredible and beautifully done❤️❤️❤️I have a quote from Harold tattooed on me with his name and DOB-DOD "we live in a miraculous world, there's no question and it's driven by forces that we may never understand. Life has no inherent meaning. We create meaning...it's up to us to create meaning."
omg, very touching video, thank you for this beautiful tribute
Love Dr. Egon Spengler. He have been my favorite Ghostbuster since childhood both in the movies and in The Real Ghostbusters. At age 3 till about 8 (?) Dr. Peter Venkman was my favorite but afterwards I grew to love Egon and that is still the fav followed by Dr. Ray Stanz. Yeah it was indeed a very sad day back in 2014 when Harold Ramis passed away as it felt like a very old friend had died :,-(. And I loved the love & respect they showed Spengler/Ramis in Afterlife. I'm not afraid to say I for real shed some tears at the cinema in the end. That was so deep and so much love in it that it felt heavily real. He may be gone, but never forgotten and always remembered with heart.
This is my favorite video so far. Egon is my GB! I love Harold, I will always miss his movies and his presence. Watching his movies growing, he showed me it was okay to be the nerdy/smart one and still fit in.
Definetly my favorite character in Ghostbusters
This was very comprehensive. Great work!
Egons uncle Cyrus looks like Ivo Shandor with that mustache and goatee.
Love You Harold Ramis/Egon Spengler, You are missed, and will never be forgotten . . Requiescat en Pace Amicus! . . Love this Vid, Great Awesome Job Guys, lots of Blessings to You . . 😎
What a wonderful video. Thank you for sharing. GB was a childhood staple of mine that I still love.
Love Harold Ramis and this video was well crafted with clips from all the relevant Ghostbusters media and of course Stripes.
This was amazing, and I can't wait to see more of these. There is one thing you forgot. He was good at dancing. It was something he enjoyed. They talked about it also in the GHOSTBUSTERS Year One comics. I believe Peter is the one that brings it up. Plus how they ask Ray if he knows anything about the modern hip hop music, and he reply's that he mostly listened to blues.
A scientist a Ghostbusters team member a father a friend be sure to pay your respects to Egon with a like he would have died for nothing and never forgotten.💖🌺💐🌷🌹🏵💮🌸🌈🌟
Egon was protecting his daughter and the family from the supernatural. If they knew, the ghosts would discover and use her or any family members as bait to get to Egon. That’s why he couldn’t be a father for Callie. So she was dead wrong about her own father.
Thank you for the Chicago send up. That made my day.

Egon had a great childhood

Not gonna lie this made me cry
I think Harold would have loved what they did with Egon in Afterlife
Harold Ramis is such an inspiration. His deep philosophy came from his Buddhist beliefs. I admire and miss him.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊

I love your Ghostbusters videos, they're always so informative and well done. I was not expecting to come here and get all teary-eyed. Very well done, what a beautiful tribute both to Egon and the man who brought him to life. Thanks.

Harold Ramis in 'Orange county : as The Dean of admission "Were the same height, that is neat"🤓🤣
Egon the best!
Few clips of Stripes in there. I like the idea of the events of that film as just a crazy couple years in the life of Venkman and Spengler.
Egon da best one
Egon's age or rather his birthdate has indeed been hinted at once in the second animated series the "Extreme Ghostbusters" during an episode called "The Sphinx" on December 5th, 1997 One of the new team members, Garret guessed Egon's age to be somewhere in his early to mid 50's. Egon responded to this by telling Garret that he was 39 years old. Now assuming that he already had his birthday that year before the month of December 1997, then canonically that would mean that at least the "animated" version of Egon Spengler was born in 1958.

Or maybe he’s like Jack Benny and he’s permanently 39
I would like to be Egon if there was ever a Reboot of Ghostbusters! but with all the Origins Parts here I dunno what would Remain Cannon or not.....
He will be remembered as the hero who saved the world from paranormal threats RIP
R.I.P Harold ramis a.k.a egon spengler in the ghostbusters franchise universe original era from 1984 1989 2021 and beyond the realms of the supernatural ♥️ ❤❤👻👻👻👻😊 R.I.P Egon
I do wish they would explore/develop the relationship between Egon and Callie. Why did he abandon her? Was it a conscious decision? Based on the fact that he followed her life, he obviously cared about her. How did Callie's mother feel about the matter? Was he afraid of her getting caught up in or directly harmed by his paranormal work? Did he fear himself an inadequate father because of his own emotional detachment? Was Callie's siring more of a non-emotional agreement between Egon and Callie's mother, similar to Maude and The Dude in "The Big Lebowski"?
Bonus points for the Super Mario Bros. clip.
Also print is dead....rip harold..
The constantly snacking things could be alluding to a deleted scene from the first Ghostbusters where it was confirmed Egon Spengler used Marijuana, typical of the late 1970s. The deleted scene had a Drug Dealer bugging the Ghostbusters trying to sell his product and Egon mistakes what the man was doing and hands him a joint from his jumpsuit before walking off, that is why he's snacking throughout the movie, dude had munchies real bad haha.
RIP Harold Ramis.
Wonder if Egon ever read about Nicolae Tesla's death ray?
Wait a damn minute.. 2:17
12:40. I see the universe as a living organism. Every particle of which is constantly transforming from matter to energy. You and I are just tiny parts of that organism. Like 2 bacteria living on a rotting speck of dust floating in an infinite void.
goodness gracious
