I used to live just down the street on Braebrook Ave in the early 90's. I got a paper route when I was 12 and I actually had money. I remember ordering my OWN small Athens special and them delivering it to me. I was so freakin happy.

Thanks great video... almost brought a tear ro my eye..... many many pizzas, all dressed, from George and his delivery driver bro... great people... a unique great place, it remained unchanged since day one, Expo 67 framed photo on wall. Beautiful. Great memories.

Worked there more than a few times in the '70s with "The Debutantes".

I have been told that Athens has closed again.... too bad, I want to go back for a za..... so many of us have fond memories of this place!

I lived steps away from Athens for 20 years. I never tried it and now I regret it.

Well I guess Athens is closed once and for all - even the strip mall is going to be demolished. There is a group who wants to name a piece of future green space located in that area "Athens Park".

We used to call it "The Greek Shop".

I grew up in Pte -Claire. Peter delivered pizzas to our house in the red volkswagon and then later I recall a yellow car and I went to school with Harry's boys. But what happened to Harry?

I remember the yellow Tercel... Whenever we asked about our phone order how long would it take, the answer was always "20 minutes". And rarely were they ever longer, even in the snow. Great Local Place.

j dixon I went to Northview Elementary with Harry's boys too. Jim And Nick! I lived so close to athens pizza that it was quicker to pick up the pizza than deliver it.

I was informed that Athens has re-opened, with George's son at the helm. Good news indeed if true.
