The Historical Bond Between Navuti Village & Wawa Village🤝🏾🇫🇯
In this vlog we are going to Nasesara Village to prepare the grave for a villager that passed away.
The villager that passed away is from Wawa Village and therefore Navuti villagers has the responsibility of making the grave ready and vice versa.
The relationship between these two villages goes back for generations and till today there are certain types of food those two villages can't eat infront of eachother. Navuti Villagers can't eat fish infront of people from Wawa Village as it is considered their food and Wawa Villagers can't eat pork infront of people from Navuti.
That is why when the people from Wawa served us lunch during the function. They only serve pork as it is considered our food.

And here I hear Naita Josese explains it and I am going to show this video, so that they can hear it, it’s true from my Naitas exactly …l👏👏👏👏👏👏👌👌 Isaaaaaa, proud how we all keep, remember and carry on through generations these Traditions and culture practices of respect and acknowledging one another in this special ways. It’s BINDING AND BONDING EVERYONE AMONGST OUR VERY OWN PEOPLE L 💯💜🧡💜🧡 Vinaka vakalevu na videos - enjoy watching them all time. 😊😊👍👍
Beautiful burial and singing too much heart ofa atu loloma vinaka
Normal to us but eye-opening to viewers outside Fiji, especially when tradition is everything as "Johehe" pointed out. 😉 And yes, the food protocol is understandable when going to another village. The pork is to die for though prior to the old brown label afterwards and RIP to the person who is in a better place on high. 🙏
Man the singing at the end got me good 😭 vinaka boys🫡

The hymns lyrics carries a lot "E da mai tu vulagi voli" we are just visitors in this land".!! BTW unfortunately there is no common name for the dawa fruit.. universally its known as pometia pinnata.. Keep safe guys.
