In my pre-Medicare days my employer plan had premiums, deductibles and co-pays. Not sure why this seems to be made so difficult

Yes, Advantage plans work in a similar fashion to the HMO & PPO employer group insurance plans that have been common the last 40-45 years.

Yes - they work very similar to employer or ACA coverage.

Advantage Plans vary greatly - it's not fair to make judgeents on them. Some are custom plans offered by employers that are far better than most any other insurance. Is the traditional Medicare sales structure trashing Advantage plans because they are losing their sales opportunity?

Hi there - If you go through our other videos, you will see that we have many on the pros of Medicare Advantage Plans. Since we are seeing a 50/50 split within coverage type, we like to make videos on topics our viewers ask for.

It's not so much the costs of an advantage plan but the pre-authorizations, service denials/appeals and referrals and networks. I'm under a terrible Obamacare HMO plan right now and I hate. Fortunately, I turn 65 next year and Lauren (from your office) has already set me up with a Supplement plan starting in April. (She'll be contacting me for the Part D plan in January or February as well. 🙂)

I have had an HMO my entire adult life through all my employers. Had premium deductibles and prior authorizations. Even recently on Medicaid, I needed prior authorizations. So I’m not really getting why everybody complains about Medicare advantage plans, considering I’m willing to bet the majority of us had had plans in the past at the same way. I’m going to advantage plan because a person in my situation is not offered a supplemental. Orinal part B has too much financial risk. No way I will pay out of pocket
