Is no-one going to mention Aurus' headgear? He wears that piece of brass like it's an every day fashion accessory that we're all used to!

The best!
If you added more membranes all the way along to the end of the pipe, would it just add more distorting or more resonance? Also, to get more of a mix of natural voice and resonated voice, you could add a hole off to the side just before the membrane that you could plug and unplug as you sing. What a great and versatile instrument! Thank you and Aurus for your performance and showing how underrated membranaphones are. They aren't just children's toys, they are instruments for professional musicians! 😃🎶🎶🎶
The phrase “wait for it” has never been more applicable. Amazing song.

So I started getting into these kinds of DIY/junk instruments only a few weeks ago! And among other things "comb and paper" stuff as well as messing with kazoos specifically and wondering what all I can do with them. Of course you were a big inspiration! Love the jug band cello, too. Just got s couple suitcases with the intention of making musical instruments out of them though I was thinking of percussion at the time. So now I'm going to have to mess with this, too!
Your brilliance never ceases to amaze. AURUS is spectacular.

4:21 omg that's so fire
I wanna make clear that there's no hate in this comment at all. This video is near the top of the worst sounding thing I've heard on KZread since I started using the platform. Then at 11:10 it turned into one of the best sounding videos I've ever watched. It was like literal magic. I really appreciate watching all the experimentation leading up to the final product. It's easy as a musician to think "This sounds bad, and I suck", and you forget that often times, true beauty only appears when sounds come together to form more than the sum of their parts. A lot of electric guitar sounds awful by itself with distortion and feedback, but in concert with the other parts of a song, it can sound beautiful and expressive. Awesome video.
What a beautiful voice Aurus has! I went straight to spotify to listen to his songs and man... what amazing sound! I'm listening to his album for the second time now.

What blows my mind is that these two musicians can create such an epic and faithful recreation of the song with a menagerie of home-made instruments. A testament to the skills of both artists!
2:46 we can. And when we don't it still sounds amazing, old bluesy garage sound, I'd like to hear more of that

You are awesome. I made a bas together with my son from a broken guitar string, a long stick and to screws. Keep on being strange and beautiful. Much love ;-)
Wow. That song was amazing. It's so cool to hear your DIY instruments in a fully produced recording of a song.
This dropped right as I was packing some flower for break time. How absolutely perfect.
Du pur génie. Un choc incroyable de passer de l'état d'amusement empirique et sans prétention à la classe absolue de la chanson finale. D'une très grande beauté 😍🙌
Wow. This really caught me off guard. What a fantastic voice
Ha! Just when I never thought a kazoo could ever be cool😂. Also thanks for introducing me to Aurus! He's amazing! I LOVE that song at the end! OMG

Oh my God. I’m so glad I waited till the end, the song is such an incredible masterpiece! 😍😍😍 Wonderful voice, wonderful sounds. A big heart to Aurus ❤
I've gotta try this if I ever do voiceover for like a horror podcast or something. Sounds like a low-fi recording, and with some reverb, could be VERY atmospheric...

Great Channel! Great Instruments! Great Song! Two Genious Musicians! Extremely Inspiring!
Nice video 😊 Aurus is great too - his comfort in high, soft sounds remind me of Einar Solberg!
It can also work if you combine a kazoo with a flute. The air continues to flow and at the same time you purr to the kazoo and play the flute. I'm also very curious what would happen if I combined a kazoo and a membrane clarinet. I personally made wooden membranophones, they have an amazing sound.
I love the sound that starts at 5:45 . Very interesting.

I've been a one-man-band for years now, and I have multiple Kazoos and use them as my "brass" section when I play. Percussions played with both feet, some stringed instruments between my hands and kazoos. And singing. Yeah, it's getting complicated.
Great experiments and music.
