The HIDDEN GEM of Tenerife, Teno Rural Park

Teno Rural Park is one of the unique places really worth discovering here in Tenerife. Here people live in harmony with nature, you can see majestic cliffs, deep ravines, traditional architecture and laurel forests.
My starting point for the exploration of Teno Rural Park started at the Punta de Teno, the most western point of Tenerife, where a new and an old lighthouse guard the southern coast of the island. After a few minutes here, I started making my way up the nearby cliffs, passing giant cactuses and enduring the hot sun. When I arrived on top the landscape transformed into green pastures and passed through some small villages where people live close to the surrounding nature.
As I was approaching Teno Alto, I could see in the distance, the main attraction of Tenerife, Pico El Teide. After that moment I could always see it in sight until I completed my journey. After a quick break in this small village, the landscape changed again and I would follow my trail on the cliffs, admiring the deep ravines and having the islands of La Palma and La Gomera in sight.
The next morning I would continue through Macizo de Teno, hiking above the Masca valley and ending up in Los Silos. On the way to Los Silos I had the chance to admire the Cuevas Negras, some amazing and impressive rock formations made of volcanic material.
The whole park, known in spanish as the Parque Rural de Teno, has a network of trails all worth exploring. After a long hike, you can rest your feet and enjoy a nice traditional meal in the rural areas of the beautiful Buenavista del Norte region.

@@UntraveledRoadsOfficial the truth is travel vlogging can be very difficult because KZread won’t suggest your content to new people when you switch countries or places. It’s very hard to grow but I believe if you keep going you will see success. Fortunately you have another job and don’t depend on KZread income.

Great video and adventure. I like the little nuggets of knowledge you give us too. Maybe not to use American country and western music for a video on Tenerife - it lessens the experience.

OK! Magazine TV detective explains 'real reason' Jay Slater ‘wouldn’t wait for lift back’ from AirBnB to where he was stayingTV detective Mark Williams-Thomas has revealed that Jay Slater, who mysteriously disappeared in Tenerife, left the Airbnb he was staying at because he was reportedly 'hungry'. The 19 year old from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, was driven to the rental property in Masca by Ayub Qassim, 31, also known as 'Johnny Vegas', and another unidentified man. Ayub insists that Jay, an apprentice bricklayer, was alive when he left the Airbnb after a post-music festival party. Jay went missing on 17 June after deciding to walk back to his accommodation in Los Cristianos, a journey that takes approximately 11 hours on foot. It's thought that he missed his bus and chose to make the trek instead.
