In this video, I explain why polyunsaturated fats absolutely destroy your overall health and why you need to stop consuming them immediately because they are killing you.

Many people believe that polyunsaturated fats are healthy because they lower cholesterol levels. However, they are missing the bigger picture as to why this happens. Polyunsaturated fats are the worst fats that you can consume, including essential fatty acids. In this video, I explain the difference between saturated fats vs unsaturated fats with some basic chemistry concepts and help you understand which fats are bad. Monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats are typically viewed as healthy fats and saturated fats are viewed as unhealthy fats, yet people are still so unhealthy…

    Hi, I'm 68yrs from Malaysia (an equatorial region) and studied Chem Eng'g in US late 70's. I've stopped taking PUFA 20yrs since. I took 100% saturated fats, namely coconut oil and other animal fats as replacement since. I'm 100% agree with you. Keep up with the good work. Bless you. My body has gotten better since, especially the liver❤. People in general must be educated in the chemistry of FATS and their effects on the body particularly the liver❤

    That's awesome, good for you. It's so alarming how PUFAs are in almost everything too. Every fast food place uses them, every chain restaurant, nearly every kind of processed food (which is like 90% of food in the US)... We've never known as much as we do now about nutrition because of scientific advancement, yet we've never been more blind.

    Makes sense that the animal kingdom is based on saturated fat and animals in the wild as usually very lean.

    Thanks so much for this comprehensive explaination of not only what the oils do, but what the free radicals do, and the huge clarification on what the full story is between saturated fats and mufas and pufas, and defining the reason behind saturated fat issues.

    Omega 6 and Omega 3 has to be in right proportion. Omega 3 fights inflammation, but Omega 6 did the opposite.

    Hey Ben, idk why my comments keep getting deleted, but this is what I wanted to say...... I totally agree. This was interesting and informative! I usually use Avocado oil for most of my cooking but I am curious to try with other oils too. I love chemistry and I practice math and science on a website called Brilliant eventhough I am an accounting student so that I can teach my kids one day! And as always I liked each and every single video you have uploaded from both my channels as always to give you double support 👊👊😎😎 But I am still trying to guess why comments get deleted though 🤔...

    Obesity is a result of high sugar and process refined carbs. Not so much from dietary fats

  • @testosteronemastery

    @testosteronemastery

    I personally don’t think that’s necessarily the case. Obesity and sugar consumption are certainly correlated, but I don’t think obesity is a result of sugar consumption. Obesity rates have increased quite a bit in the continent of Australian (they’re about where they’re at in the United States), but sugar consumption has actually dropped since 1995. That wouldn’t be the case if obesity was a result of sugar consumption. I do agree with what you said about omega-6’s and omega-3’s in your other comment, people eat diets that are way too high in omega-6 fatty acids…

    I hadn't heard that before about fish oils. I'd been taking cod liver oil supplements for the omega 3s... Should I take flaxseed instead? Or is it the same deal?

    Flaxseeds are high in pufas also. Personally, I don’t think anyone actually needs any of the “essential fatty acids.” They’re all polyunsaturated fats. I don’t go out of my way to supplement with omega-3s or anything and I’m in great health.

    It’s more efficient to just eliminate compounds that cause oxidative damage than it is to consume more compounds that combat it. Doing both is definitely best though, so you’re right, there is something to be said about antioxidants.
