There are credit unions in Canada. If you want to avoid the fees from banks, credit unions tend to not have those sneaky charges. I've kept my money in US credit unions for decades, and I've only once had to complain about a surprise fee. And there are no monthly charges. 10/10 I would find a credit union near you and review their policies. Almost certainly better than a bank!

Simplii Financial is totally free, with no monthly fee. I had that bank for over 10 years. Plus EQ bank gives a good interest rate on saving accounts and RRSPs.

I always check my receipt. Most of the time, the bill will be correct, but once in awhile I'll just get a string of wrong prices and errors. It's very strange how rare it happens, but when it does happen to me, it usually happens multiple times a week across different stores.

Hi there! Thanks for the content! Canada is one of the spots I consider for my relocation in a few years, and your channel has been quite useful, thank you! I was wondering, how is the pc culture out there, and how does it affect your life? I do like the country a lot, but it seems to me, in the western countries nowadays it's a huge thing, and basically, you should keep your mouth shut unless you agree with the main agenda, which is exactly why I feel like I want to leave my country - lack of freedom, luck of democracy. So, basically, do you see this trend of being absolutely politically correct, supporting kids "rights" of changing their gender early, hardcore eco-activism, hardcore feminism, hardcore white shaming more as a positive impact on your life, or a negative? Or, perhaps, its just the internet, and you don't even see those aspects in your daily life? For instance, when I worked in states, I got a harassment training for not allowing my female staff to carry heavy bag, and she complained, while I just wanted to help.

I mean, I totally support equal rights for everyone, but from what I see in the news and on the internet, it looks like this goes to some extreme level right now. Or is it just the media?

I don't understand why should I come to Canada if it can't help me find a wife. What other reason I need to relocate to a new country. I left my country 16 years ago and I'm still single, nobody explains to me that I won't be alone in Canada too. Just talking about weather and healthcare...
