Sucks the bozar wasn’t as good in fallout NV

I miss random bosses/quests like this. Things that are so fun and crazy yet not in your face, something you HAVE to seek out in order to get to experience

Well, time to find the boss.

yeah in my fallout 2 playthrough I made the most use out of this as possible, I nabbed an EMP grenade and electronic lockpick from New Reno which I rushed early on, then I used vic to get in after sneaking past the geckos. The EMP grenade insta-killed the sentry bot, and allowed me to get through fallout 2 a lot easier than if I hadn't done it that early.

Companions also have a tendency to get shredded by the initial barrage.

Calling this a boss fight is a bit of a stretch and clickbait IMHO. This is more of a secret area. A great thing to point out sure, but not a boss fight. This isn't like Chrono Trigger, where if you click on something in the early game it takes you to the End Fight immediately or the Final Fantasy series where you fight the "Weapon" bosses. Sentry Bots are just robots and you even point out it isn't the only one.

The Bozar can be obtained early in the game by stealing one from the arms merchant's guards, with all that hassle.

I thought I'd be an actual boss, and not just a standard sentry bot

I have played this game off and on for literally decades and never once remembered to go back and get into that goddamn elevator.

I remember spamming EMP granades from New Reno Arms hidden room on that dude. And because my character sucked on the throwing skill I had to reload that fight a few times before desired effect.

i just found this like an hour ago in my first playthrough of fallout 2 and man i was not prepared for that sentry bot but the bozar was so worth it
