The Hadith that its isnad is questionable is the one that says “Whoever says something in the Quran with his own opinion....”, and they are not the same Hadith. The one I quoted has daradjt “Hassan Sahih”, and it was reported by Tirmidhi, Ahmed, Nassii and Ibn Hiban. 2950 حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا بشر بن السري حدثنا سفيان عن عبد الأعلى عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من قال في القرآن بغير علم فليتبوأ مقعده من النار قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن صحيح [ ص: 223 ]

Ibn Majah 30 It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever tells lies about me deliberately, let him take his seat in Hell." Musnad Ahmad 584 It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever tells a lie about me deliberately, let him take his seat in Hell.” Musnad Darimi 237 It has been narrated to us that Muhammad ibn 'Isa has narrated to us that Husyaim has narrated to us that Abu Az Zubair from Jabir said, Rasulullah ﷺ said, "Whoever lies intentionally in my name, let him prepare his seat from the fire of hell". And there are many more with this wording.

@@aquaisnotades First of; where did you get this understanding that a Hadith is considered week if there are other mutawatir Hadiths with a different wording? There is no such a thing in Hadith science. Second, have you at least read the Hadiths you’re quoting?? What these Hadiths have to do with the Hadith I quoted?? Did I mention anything about someone telling a lie in the name of the prophet ﷺ ? The Hadith I quoted is about someone interpreting the Quran without knowledge and it’s reported in the chapter of Tafsir of the Quran in Djamii’ Tirmidhi, and for the 2nd time...it’s a Sahih Hadith and it’s different than the Hadiths you quoted, and they are not even repoted under the same chapter.

@@user-fi6sb6ey1c The hadiths I quoted and the hadith you quoted are one and the same, the only difference between them is that the one you quoted narrated the Prophet SAW talking about those who speak of the Quran without knowledge, while in reality there is stronger evidence that he was not talking about this, but he was talking about those who lie about his speech. One of the narrators made a mistake. It doesn’t matter that they are from different chapters, because they are put in different chapters due to the content of the hadith without any verification. And the opinion that the hadith you quoted is weak is the opinion of both the Darussalam Publishing House, and Sh. Al-Albani Rahimahullah.

“And even if we were to open for them a door from the heavens and they were to ascend through it they would say our eyes have been bewitched” (Quran) This is an exact description of Abu Layth

The problem being, Allah s.w.t is presenting many of these occurrences as metaphysical and miraculous events that are not meant to happen to any of us; this much is clear to anyone that has a sound mind. Then this nobody comes along like "no, that's not a miracle; it's all completely natural and we all can do it" in all of those instances. I honestly can't see this guy being a Muslim at heart; he's too insincere.

The first time I saw him, even as a layman, his energy scared me away, someone we take knowledge from, we must pay attention to both their knowledge and character. Knowledge can sometimes be confusing to a layman, but pay attention to how people conduct themselves too. And to whether they have too many views that are unique to only them, against the traditionally accepted views of the scholars.

He reminds me of a modern day taymiyyah or albani where they ignore and go against the established Ijma and majority and use their self taught understanding to push forth their opinions. Thankfully... just like taymiyyah and albani, knowledgeable scholars of the time have refuted him thoroughly thus far.

Have you noticed how ALL of his explanations begin with "in my understanding" or "In my opinion"! They have nothing to do with the correct understanding given to us by the prophet, and the righteous scholars

Abu Layth LaVey regularly refers to Tafsir Urwa tul Wusqa. Please note that the writer was inspired by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, who was an orientalist in the 19th century. He was based in South Asia (India/Pakistan) during times when Muslims were in jeopardy and sandwiched between the British and Hindus. This is why he came up with bizarre theories to adapt and unfortunately ruined the core beliefs of many people.

About the story of Moses/Khidr, Abu Layth on his insta post actually writes that the story nearly led him to kufr (the part when Khidr kills the child). Hence why he came up with his own interpretation that the story was a dream. He's clearly had struggles with his emaan and doesn't believe in the standard narrative of the Quran. It might be a good idea for you to make a video for the doubters, (Muslims/non Muslims) to clarify any misconceptions about the events mentioned in surah Qahf.

@@Mimi-Maa18 Not really. Not everyone has the same understanding of the stories in Surah Kahf. For Example, the barrier built by Dhulkernain, have Yajuj and Majuj broken free yet? Some say yes and some say no. If no then where is this barrier today? Many scholars differ on this. Non Muslims struggle with this from a geographical perspective. Khidr was given divine knowledge that even Musa didn't know of, so was Khidr also a prophet? and is it moral and just that he killed a child? So it's definitely not self explanatory and it maybe useful for Farid to make a video to explain his understanding. As a way of giving dawah and to explain the beautiful wisdom behind this Surah that we recite every Friday.

Then he said thrice: 'Do you know that I have more right over the believers (Inni awla bi al­mu'minin) than they over themselves?' The people said, 'Yes.' Then the Messenger of Allah , may Allah's peace and benedictions be upon him and his progeny said, 'Of whomever I am his master (mawla) ‘Ali also is his master.'" I always hear some extremist sufis and the enemies of Ahlus-sunnah say that "Wahhabis are the most takfiri people on earth." However to the contrary, I have seen that the people who follow the way of the salaf be more tolerant of these heretics, in the way that they refute them and call their heresy out. If anybody deserves to be excommunicated then it's someone like Abu Layth.
