Aerosmith… arguably the best American rock band ever. Steven’s addiction is just massive….its simply amazing he ever found sobriety… and his biggest accomplishment by far… God bless … Aerosmith has always been a compass in my life… can’t imagine life without them

@gib59er56 yeah far back as I can remember he usually if not always comes out wearing shorts of some kind usually black and nothing else bare footed no shirt. He was a lot younger in the 80's of course. We all were. But he pretty much moshed on stage the entire time he was singing. Non stop action one song to the next not much talking except for what the next song is and are we all having a good time. Water between songs that was Rollins. The whole back to the audience thing I remember somewhat but I don't remember it being to.the extent you mentioned. Maybe a Morrison kind of thing. Morrison in his early days performed with his back turned to the audience the entire time. Before The Doors were known outside of L.A.

@@100hooker It's refreshing that you say that because most people say Rocks or Toys In The Attic. The first album was a boogie woogie album that wasn't recorded very well but holy cow Get Your Wings was the biggest improvement in quality of sound from one album to the next in rock history. Still the best recorded quality of sound I've ever heard. A snare drum sound to die for. So powerful, clear and crisp. That's why I say it's my favorite Aerosmith album.

@@JWCFB I agree with you that Aerosmith were definitely at their best on the first 4 or 5 albums they recorded in the studio anyway. But, to say Aerosmith were the best live performers in concert back in the day is a huge reach to say the least my friend. Are you sure we're talking about Aerosmith? Did you actually ever go to an Aerosmith concert back in the 70's to see & hear them live in concert? Cuz I did a few times & they were a complete debacle everytime they hit the concert stage, no bout a doubt it. Don't get it twisted, Aerosmith are one of my favorite bands. However, I'll just say this & leave it at that. I was actually at the infamous '79 "World Series of Rock" in Cleveland. Which was the last concert all 5 original members of Aerosmith played together for a long time, seeing as though that was the night the band broke up. They were so f%cked up & couldn't get it together that night right from the jump! The band had to start the very first song over 3x cuz Tyler was so strung out he forgot the words of the song he wrote himself. Perry had to lean on his guitar tech just to hold him up half the show. And when Joe was competent enough on stage to know where he was at. Him & Steven were mean muggin & MFing each other back & forth. There's a reason why Tyler & Perry are nicknamed "The Toxic Twins" trust me. And that's only one of many stories about Aerosmith back in the day. Shhiittee... they'll tell you themselves what a mess they were back then. Let's just keep it a buck, ya dig? +Peace & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend+🤘😜🤘

I love people who are hyper creative and intelligent. Perfect combo for music-it’s so effing cool that he sounds just as great as he did decades ago❣️I do background acting in NYC/I got to do the Pink commercial with Cara Delevingne & the music used was of course Aerosmith’s ‘Pink’! Growing up my older sibling had Toys in the Attic playing all the time & I still remember all the lyrics🫶🏼 Not many bands stay relevant for so many years, I think it’s the ones who are the most passionate and LOVE what they are doing more than anything 🎶 I heard A Star is Born when I was 13 & wanted to sing like Barbara 😊/I never had the courage to try but about a year ago a friend asked me to fill in for his band & even though I’m in 5-0s, I immediately said YES & have been singing ever since. I really wish I hadn’t been destroyed in childhood-teens/maybe I would have given it a shot, but F it, at 58 I’m finally singing & there is nothing in this world I would rather be doing… music literally saved my life/& thanks to both of you for sharing your insane talent with the world/what would we be w/o music?

I'm so jealous! My 24yr old will be her 3rd time & my older daughter went to Fenway 3 of us in 22, they'll enjoy it. I went through tic pic and they weren't outrageously expensive. Granted I got kind of not the best tickets but there they're actually like on the side of the stage but the whole thing is open and I sat there during Billy Joel before and they were actually pretty good, have jumbotrons now anyway ,You can probably get away with two- 250 if you can find some.

Appreciate these uploads, Henry Rollins is actually a pretty good interviewer. With the great guests and performing bands I'm surprised these aren't more popular. Maybe the very "2000's" intro and Rollins self-righteous preamble at the start throws people off, but they're missing out on some gems.

I think most people can handle Henry's rant, it's just buried under a mountain of "content'. Who knows about HR nowadays? Who knows he made a tv show back in the day? That stuff surely is dated, but I like the spirit and I like the bands and artists he's promoting.

It must be a testament to Steven Tyler's charisma that I rarely watch clips this long without getting bored. But when he talks, he has one's focus in his pocket! PLUS, the word Dildonic! Must start using that.

About 15 years ago two coworkers and I were chatting in a downtown parking garage in Boston. We looked over to see that about 30 feet a way this sort of raggedly looking guy was walking out of a stairwell door and coming toward us. He had lots of jewelry and a few tassel-type things in his hair and he was wearing crocks. But from a distance we just thought he was some homeless guy coming over to ask for money. As he got closer I could see him more clearly and it dawned on me that I was about to meet Steven Tyler. I'm sure he was wondering when we'd react because he didn't need to walk in our direction. He was a nice guy, asking "how ya doin'" and shook our hands. It was a short chat and we didn't hassle him for autographs or bow down in awe. Just a few gentlemen being courteous as they pass by each other (but I sure told best friend and fellow Aerosmith fan about it). Looking back, I'd sometimes wondered what Tyler was doing down in that garage, but I'd remind myself, "Oh, yeah. Even rock legends have to get in their car and take care of non-rock star stuff just like the rest of us."

30 years I thought it was longer than that; Steven I love you, the real you, this is Sandra D; wasn't so sure it was you on chat on your private page so, I just didn't go back to it because I was afraid of talking to the wrong person. You are just absolutely amazing.I love your music, I love you, love what you've done for the whole music industry both on the stage and off the stage I love what you've been for children that are unfortunate and don't have anything the little orphans everything that you do and you absolutely make that motorcycle not look as hot as you. Love your haircut, why don't you ride out here to Iberia, Missouri and pick me up; I have some chaps if I need them. I used to live out west for about 5 years; that's probably where you are. ✌️❤️🌈🤟🙏

Steven is right. Why stop. It’s what they love to do and as long as fans want to show up and you can still do it carry on. It keeps you going. I’m a big Stones fan ( since 1967 I was 6) and the still do it. I be seen them and Black Flagg ( with Henry) in Montreal I never saw Aerosmith which I regret. My friends all saw them at the Forum in 1977. But I didn’t go. Drag cheers from Montreal

Rollin’s first arena rock concert experience was Aerosmith. The single at the time was “Walk This Way” but, opened with Rats in the Cellar. That is a track from their album that came out a year after WTW. The timeline seems a bit foggy. Then again we are talking about the 70s.
