If The Helmets ever release a record, I am buying it. Deep lyrics (what I could hear in fragments, anyway), great guitar shredding, all in all, the performance felt like that of a band. Tye will most definitely make his father proud. Also, I don't believe The Helmets get their attention because of connection to Metallica; these youngsters show talent. However, the sound engineer in that studio needs to be chained in a concert hall for a year, only to learn what sound mixing should sound like

The singers amp is a solid state vox with an 8 inch speaker, you need to be very skilled to make it sound half crap, and it can sound good, turned off of course, the second amp I presume is also a solid state orange crash but the other guitarist is using pedals so he sound a little bit better, the best part of this song is the drummer and the son of rob, and the singer is not horrible...

Lollapalooza isn't what it used to be so I don't think it's that bad. They aren't getting an offer to headline Coachella or whatever bullish people go to.
