Tenchfishers member Chris McKechnie demonstrates a further evolution of his super safe "Hellermann" rig. A tench heli-rig that significantly reduces the risk of fish tethering in the unlikely event of a line breakage above the rig. This is based on the work originally started by Chris and part of the ongoing work of the Tenchfishers "Rig Safety Group".

Enjoyed our day on the bank together yesterday Chris. I found the example of the Hellermann rig you showed and explained to me extremely interesting and plan to incorporate it into my tench fishing this coming season. I have since found your video demonstrating how to create it and the products you use which has provided the additional detail. Keep making your KZread videos Chris as there are very instructional well presented. I look forward to fishing with you on our challenging venue during the coming season. Paul
Not sure what you mean. The sleeve protects the line and the rig slides down to buffer above the feeder, meaning that tge fish being played is beneath tge main line and any bouncing feeder or lead.
