@@FirstDagger Afaik its been said by Ukranian sources that it was not a Starstreak in that video, but they have been effective on other Mi28s or Ka50/52 (or in any helicopter that theyve been used against)

God the Starstreak makes me sad... such a neat vehicle but nerfed into the ground and so buggy that it can't even kill helicopters reliably (the missiles *phase through* some aircraft).

Gaijin is trying to cope with how actual Russian MBTs perform in Ukraine.

Gaijin is mad that a starstreak chopped an MI-28 in half in Ukraine lol According to the Thales sources ive seen the missile should have around 120mm of pen, Gaijin gives it 30mm... It's literally advertised as a multipurpose missile which can also kill light/medium armoured vehicles The missiles IRL aren't manually guided like in WT, they are manually locked and automatically guided.... The Stormer HVM could also fire martlet missiles, which are proxy fuse/shaped charge missiles with 8km range but Gaijin wont ever give it that

Yeah,it’s not that really its the fact they removed the Fuel HE effect completely. So now it does 30mm of kenetic pen and 300g of HE. Instead of 120mm of Pen and 10KG of HE 50m. It’s basically a useless vehicle as it should also have auto tracking and lead. Where you select the target and the and the telemetry in the computer guides the shot to the target. So locking on should be an auto kill. Not hit 1 out of 8 shots

The British Wildcat can carry 20 Martlets, they're also a mach 2 missile, imagine the carnage you would cause against the enemy. Its literally anti KA-50/52 which is why Britain will NEVER get it.

Challenger 2 Tes when they added it - it had from side enought armor so it could stop Krizanthena rocket and now its around 100- so you have vehicle that has 75 tons of no armor and you are the slowest top tier tank " cuz of armor that does not exists "

@@voidtempering8700 sorry but TUSK 2 isn't stopping a Kornet. These things are at minimum estimated at around 1100mm of penetration after ERA. Likely higher. Even heavy era like relikt can't stop such a big tandem warhead.

For all its terribleness because of artificial nerfing, it's still incredibly satisfying to watch those Ka-52 pilots pop flares and not move expecting to get away with it as usual, only to have a Starstreak guided directly into the middle of their face. I mostly main Britain and everything at or near top-tier is like that really - large amounts of suffering and no fun, all for that five seconds of endorphins when someone playing Russia or Germany expects you to be an easy kill and you finally get the slap back on them that you've been waiting an hour for

i wouldnt mind but flares and chaff do fuck all to radar AA as well cant remember a single time my heli or jets mainly f4 phantom spamming chaff and flare in the 100s stopped a single missile. you cant even see where they go properly cos they move in stupid zigzag patterns it can be missing you by 500m then it teleports 500m sideways leaving a trail like it did a right angle turn moved in front of you then did another right angle turn to face you again before going Mach 5 into your face

@@moopynova The code they have for the star streak missiles is crap, it's just trying to be a normal missile but going Mach 4 and very maneuverable and it doesn't work its why you get janky movments and missiles just phasing though things as they are moving too fast for the physics engine, they need to code them difrently somehow, but it is realistic that flares and chaff won't stop them they are optical lock beam riders, so I guess a load of smoke might help more?

I play the staghound AA some times and some of these matches I'm seeing in the Stormer HVM are very familiar, hang back don't worry the enemy will go to your spawn, getting killed by oversized bombs yep add that to the list rockets as well. At least we don't encounter helis.

The thing that I find hilarious(ly depresseing) is that the Tunguska is BR10.7 and 9k SL fully spaded while the Stormer is BR10.3 and 12k SL spaded. It's almost as if Gaijin really doesn't like British vehicles, what with the insane repair costs, non-regenerative steering, over-sized weakspots, etc.

The snail pretty much nerfs everything that isn't Russia, as someone who mains Russia but also plays Germany, USA and Sweden, Russia just needs to be on both teams every game from br 7.7 and up, to fix the balance issues. Also Starstreak performing like an early model TOW is sad, it's one of the coolest Anti Air / Multi Purpose Warheads in use today.

i play germany and russia and honestly ive never struggled against russia even at 8.7 which is where my germany is at russian tanks are slower so u can take better positins early and since crew is super close togeather and u have lolpen guns on the leo and missiles on the ifvs u can absolutely clown on russians so idk if im just playing good or if yall have a skill issue and are malding

If you're in the mood for playing AA, maybe you could try the AMX-30 DCA or the AMX 13 DCA 40 ? I think they deserve some attention; one is a formidable machine, capable of dealing with aircrafts and tanks easily, while the other is kinda like a tank destroyer.

The AMX-30 DCA is essentially a Falcon that trades its stabilizer for a radar and is the closest the French tree gets to having an IFV. Would love to see him play it.

I went to one of those tank driving experience days once and I got to drive a few vehicles including a Chieftain and an Alvis Stormer. It was a really enjoyable time but the driving the Stormer was the most fun I think I've ever had.

Tbh I’m just tired of spawning in a Abrams only to have to hide from a Ka-50 for half the match. But that’s for like 5 minutes because after that Soviet tanks are doing donuts in our spawn anyways.

you should try flying a helicopter into strategic locations to specifically kill planes. take a heli, first spawn AAM's and shoot down as many CAS planes as possible.

Thats exactly how I play z19e. You can spawn with 80 ty90’s which 100% ignore flares and just spawn camp ka50’s which cant do anything

I hit one with a 152mm HEAT Round from my KPZ-70. :( "Hit" and that was it, I never was so pissed off that week till that happened.

Play the T-26E, an up armored soviet reserve tank that was moved to the market. It is insanely tanky when you angle your weakspot away.

Hey man i know alot of people are recommending a bunch of stuff, but because of this video it reminds me of using the prox. fuse missiles with the bmp2m against helicopters. Its range is really long and can kill most tanks, you should definitely try.

Was that the l4d boss music when you faced the t90? Damn, that's some nostalgia.

The funny thing is the same exact missile is on the British Apache and it's annoying because you can spawn early with them and it can straight up take out light tanks and AAs (and maybe even mbts) early game. I'm not sure if they fixed that or not but I remember fairly recently happening to me.

Definitely not the worst, because at least you have some control wether it hits or not. The type 93 is 100% the worst. Limited missiles, 5km range MAX, shitty IR guidance, and only targeting radar.

Try the Mistral at 10.0 man,no radar,60 shots of apds(for 4 cannons),max range of 3km and the mistral has 4km....

I remember, like maybe a year ago or something, I took like 4 missiles from Stormer and my A-4 wasn't even scratched. I died at like 5th shot because I started just flying straight towards that Stormer

The swedish10.0 missile AA, the Lvrbv 701 is in an odd place compared to other AAs at its br. No search radar, very short range tracking, 35 degrees elevation and having a ~15s reload between each missile. its missiles do have 200mm pen so you can at least defend yourself against some light stuff but its pretty bad compared to stuff like the german 10.0 aa

@@collander7766 the upgraded rockets have a range of 7km which exceeds your tracking radar / irst by several KM. But again, let's compare this to other 10.0 AAs, stuff like the FlaRakPz, Roland 1 or XM975 which all get access to the same missiles. Those have a range of 8km on its upgraded missiles. In addition to the extra range the rockets feature several times the explosive mass ( 6.8kg Roland 3, 1.4kg Sweden) at essentially the same speed (575m/s for the Roland 3 Vs 580m/s for Sweden) and 5Gs more overload. Sweden has 6 missiles with the aforementioned ~ 15s reload between shots, the competition has 10 total and two can be fired with minimal delay. TLDR: I don't understand why the Swedish vehicle is at the same BR as stuff like the FlaRakPz 1 as it's worse in basically every regard except irst, 200mm pen on the upgraded rockets and it gets scouting

At least the starstreaks launch somewhat straight now and that fact that you can guide them well enough to kill something now is an improvement. Still cannot aim at close range targets though.

The worst part of Stormer for me is that the missile has to travel a certain distance before it reaches its maximum maneuverability, which means you can effectively engage only jets more than about 2km away. You can shoot down helicopters that are closer, but you have to give your aim some lead just like with a tank gun.

Ok the L4D tank theme bit was hilarious

that first noise of the windows turn off got me in the first half not gonna lie (yes my pc is that old )

centurion mk1 is fun, panther like armor with ammunition that can destroy most german tanks, even king tigers at close range can be penned via the hull

They really need to at least add it's proper targeting system where you hold the aircraft in a target box and it handles lead and finer guidance for you. At least we're hopefully getting the Rooivalk next update so we should get an attack chopper with heat seekers.

An AA missle explodes in the Ka-50 pilots' faces: "tail damaged", and the Ka-50 can literally kill more than 5 tanks before the pilots get BBQed

I think a showcase of the flakpanzer 341 would be nice. It is just a better Ostwind but I think people overshadow it with the Kugalblitz.

I love this vehicle, when I have perfect connection to the server. Which I basically never do. I don't bother playing this thing anymore on the basis of I'll be leading something perfectly, virtually every time, missile will clearly go through the target (I have a video montage of this happening on my pc somewhere) and of course not even register a hit let alone destroy it.

Spook you should make a fast video on the broken hitboxes of most smaller helis and even mi24s

They need to disable spawn protection for air spawns. Sometimes i get my stormer's missile on target but they're still invincible.

The stormer HVM is very very useful and still works against planes even while its heavily nerfed

if you're still in the mood to play SPAAs, try playing the M247 cause based on data mines it'll get nerfed straight to oblivion (AP will turn into SAP and ammo decrease), so one last video on the Srgt. York before it turns into nothing.

The SAP is better than AP since it one taps anything. Know that from playing the VEAK.

@@jameshodgson3656 well, that's your experience with the VEAK 40 at 8.3, but we're talking about M247 at 9.0. once the update dropped, it'll only have 38mm pen SAP at 9.0 with an ammo decrease. you might say "oh, it still could pen light tanks" yes, it could but that doesn't mean it should only get 38mm pen as it also fight MBTs that needs 30+ shells to kill from side on at close range and how worst would it be if it's medium range? and if the 38mm pen gets implemented, how could the M247 protect itself? it wouldn't even gonna be able to break gun barrels of large caliber tanks. for SPAA role, almost nothing would change, tho it'll get lesser chance of getting kills since less ammo and HE-VT dont go well with supersonics (based on my experience on the M247, even at close range HE-VT just ignores the plane especially German and Russian planes, i wouldn't say it's some bias stuff but it's probably is lol), still, the only meaningful act Gaijin could do is not change anything and hopefully give it a lower br (like it used to) or implement the "supposed" changes and put it at a lower br

@@lukav3509 well, it used to be, but Gaijin nerfed it so many times since last year so at this point i occasionally use it as a SPAA, im just using it to annoy other players by breaking their tank component, anti-light tanks and just support my team

Question, what do you guys think of having long range SAMs in the game? Not as playable vehicles but as something to contend with. Being forced to fly low to avoid getting with an S-75, HAWK, S-300, or Patriot could mix up gameplay for CAS. You could also go after the batteries themselves although they will be protected by short range AA (and age appropriate defenses, we don’t need a Bofors defending a Patriot site). Not every game, it’s just something that gets the matchmaker sometimes chooses to mix things up.
