Rewatching Hey Arnold makes me realize just how intelligent and well spoken Helga was for a fourth grader.

I love this video! Helga has got to be one of the most comical characters in cartoon history! My faves: Helga sleepwalks (so funny!) Helga on the Couch Helga Blabs it all In Arnold's Valentine i wish that she could stay like that. Her voice is so sweet and she looks really pretty!

The more the viewpoint of Helga regarding Arnold goes on, it almost seems more like it’s her show rather than his. And yet, he’s supposed to be less the character with the story, and more our eyes into the world of all these weird, eclectic people.

Helga's voice actress Francesca something is waaayy talented, I swear. XD Oh, and people did post the episodes (that's how I got into HA! again, but they got taken down. I dunno if people tried again...)

Why can't Helga Pataki ever tell Arnold that all he ever cared about is himself in any of the Hey, Arnold! episodes? How come she never said it to him? That's what the world wanted to know.

Arnold is not that self centered, but if you mean why she never told him she cares, then that's because of the reputation she has built around herself as a protection against anyone who tries to bully her. It's actually sad if you think about it.

If you mean why she never admitted her feelings, in the one episode Helga on the Couch, Helga admits to being very insecure despite her "tough girl" cover. She may act tough, but she's very insecure and thinks he'll reject her; given that he's basically the one good thing in her life, that would crush her. Hence, she's scared and would rather live with always wondering as opposed to facing rejection and being emotionally destroyed. It's really sad and a rather mature thing to put into a kid's show.

Her name is Russian I think. It's the same name as her sister Olga (Olga is the German version of the name "Helga"). I may have the countries of origin backwards though.
