The Heart of Man Official Trailer (2017) - BACK FOR ONE MORE NIGHT 10/17!

We're coming BACK in select theaters for ONE MORE NIGHT on OCTOBER 17TH nationwide! Visit www.heartofmanmovie.com to stay updated on when tickets go on sale!
The Heart of Man” is a story inviting us to leave behind our broken, moralistic and religious way of thinking and relating to God and to others. Once we begin to know who God is (and as a result who we are), we have something to invite the world into. Freedom from performance. Freedom from managing our behavior so we appear acceptable to God. Freedom from our addictions, compulsive behaviors, secrecy and double lives. This film tears the veil of confusion over the church's current identity crisis and enables it to invite the rest of the world to the banquet God is throwing all of us.

What a powerful and true statement- "So often we think God is just trying to get us to conform when really what He’s really committed to is unbelievable transformation. If we could only enter the depths of His love we would find our lives deeply changed"

WOW! That one line. What if our shame was a bridge... not a barrier? A great read is the " The Cure: What If God Isn't Who You Think He Is And Neither Are You" and Daring Greatly by Brene Brown, it talks about shame and vulnerability.

On Thursday night, September 14, there is a one-night only showing (7:00 p.m.) of a very special movie that I encourage you to see. It’s called the “The Heart of Man” and is a film that has a powerful back story intertwined with testimonies of men, a couple, and a woman who all struggled with sexual integrity/addiction. The movie is a serious look at the problem of sexual integrity/addiction, but it also gives hope and encouragement because of God’s grace and the power of His love for us as shown in the lives of the people highlighted in this movie.

I think the focus is on the persona testimonies, but they use actors/cinematography to tell the story visually in between, because a documentary, with just people talking to the camera wouldn't be as visually stimulating.

It had a few good points but it was a let down. Starting to really question Youngs belief system, they are not completely biblically based. Again he made two good spiritual points, the rest was a circle of universalism. The thought is everybody is saved we just need to participate in the relationship.

So this film is about knowing God?!? God is passionate about covenants, and even commanded everyone (film makers and actors included) to honor the holiness of the covenant of mariage while having strong words against those who don't (see Heb. 13.14). How does it honor God, to ask 2 actors to perform a french kiss, while at least one of them is married to someone else? Or does your movie and the money and fame it generates have more value than honoring God and the marriage covenant of your actors? Can Hudson Taylor, the husband of the actress, watch the french kissing scene without getting jealous, just as God cannot watch his people committing adultery with other gods without getting jealous? So you want to denounce how destructive sexual immorality could be, while comiting it! How can that not be hypocrisy at least?
