Thank you, Bishops, for your inestimable parts in saving/restoring the beautiful and functional Anglican discipline.

I have been told there is doubt about my being a Christian.This because I stand on the "Gospel'. There is complete silence to a really serious question put re a synod motion passed. I have not known how to go forward. So lockdown has proved a great blessing for time to search my heart and God's Word. Thank you for the stand taken. I am just a an ordinary lay person troubled by the untruth of communing at such a time as this feeling with some leadership not acknowledging that the problem will not just go away without allowing our voices of deep distress to be heard and responded to.

I love Anglicans and Anglicanism but Archbishop Beach has the speech and composure of a US Southern Evangelical preacher. He can probably preach in any Bible based gathering as the Holy Spirit leads him. I also believe this new move of the Holy Spirit within the Anglican expression has the support of Evangelical and Pentecostal Christian communities worldwide. "In Christ there is no east or west, in Him no south or north, but one great fellowship of Love throughout the whole wide earth 🌍❤"

Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Is it happening in South Africa at all.

Few ministers preach and live a Biblical world view. My priest follows fake news.

The hot button issue currently is same sex marriage, especially in light of the Church of England pronouncements. This issue is splitting the Church more than Women's Ordination and changes to the Prayer Book combined. The Church has always taught that sexual activity outside of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony is "sinful;" both heterosexual equally as much as homosexual. With that black and white out on the table, the Church is clear, whether we like it or not. I have an even more burning issue of which the C of E and CAFCON are deathly silent and that is, DIVORCE! Jesus Himself made that clear from His own lips, so why isn't GAFCON shouting that from the house tops instead of "allowing" marriages for people already married 2, 3, 4 or more times...against Scripture? All of a sudden the Church is crumbling over same sex issues as if this is the pinnacle of Heresy. I thought that the only unforgivable sin mentioned in the Holy Scripture is that against the Holy Spirit! Why isn't GAFCON taking up the banner against Divorce told to Moses and shared with the people of Israel, in the 7th Commandment as well as taking up the Banner of Jesus' own words against Divorce. (Matt 19:9, Matt 5:31-32, Mark 10:2-10 etc). I dare say there are more Divorced and remarried people in your congregations then there are gay. Yet your indignation is far more heated against the latter group rather than the former. It seems much easier to quote Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:26-27 than to face stiff resistance with your congregants who are divorced, remarried and perhaps even Pledge. My comments are meant to focus on what seems to have been swept under the Oriental Carpet. If GAFCON or others in the Church are fighting for pure Scriptural interpretation on the gay issue, then they are also obligated to condemn those in your congregations who are living sinful lives, under the assumption they are truly married after divorce when Jesus' Words say otherwise. Perhaps we should re-read Matthew 7:4-5 and discern God's Love for us all. Blessings

I'm a Christian from New Zealand and have heartfelt support for you folk, but I am puzzled why you call yourself the South, we in NZ (& Sth Africa, Chile, Argentina & maybe Australia) not you folk. You are South of London/Canterbury yes, but not the South.

Homosexuality should abstain from sex and take this problem to Jesus.

The 10 Commandments is to go by in the case of sexuality. Does it allow sex? Only in marriage!!

My main problem with Gafcon is that they have attached salvation to your view on same sex marriage. The Bishop of Nigeria said as much. It is not a rejection of the Bible but a different understanding of this issue and a difference in how to interpret Scripture.

Meanwhile gays are treated appallingly in Nigeria. So what are Anglican clergy in that country doing to stop this ?

It is no use taking the material route that is allowing the practice of homosexuality. It is to open eyes through the 10 Commandments if they are already Christians and bring them into the fold. It is still relevant if they are gentiles.

GAFCON can easily stop fighting the Anglican structures and work with them. Attend Lambeth and enjoy it. Then sit down with GAFCON to delineate strategies for building a like-minded group who believe in Confessional Anglicanism. It will sway moderates.

@@bg5469 I don't know what Roman Catholic trolls are doing on an Anglican Protestant Catholic channel. However we have no interest in your Roman Catholic Church. We have not had one since 1552 when we decided we had had enough of the hypocrisy. We prefer to stay away from useless stuff and focus on rather God's faithful love and His mercy to us. If you do so you will not sit on the internet daily trying to conduct a crusade against fellow Christians.

@@hesedagape6122 i’m an anglo-catholic, and tired of having to tolerate those who pervert God’s word in the name of their ecclesiastical political goals. anglicans (those who would be accepted into communion with the anglican communion if asked) are a branch of the catholic church, of which the rc and orthodox churches are also branches. if you want to be a protestant nobody’s stopping you, just don’t pretend you’re an anglican, and therefore catholic.

@@bg5469 Catholic means universal. The Catholic church has gone soft on it's own historical teachings on who gets communion etc. Some orthodox (including some of its priests and bishops) think that no one will go to hell. Yet these people according to you are universal (Catholic) Christians. Clearly those who are considered by you to be under the Catholic umbrella hold views which aren't Catholic. Pretty confusing times to live in.

Hesed Agape... the word catholic in B.G.'s comment... doesn't mean Roman Catholic : catholic means "UNIVERSAL " : you misunderstood the comment... And on top of that yr comment drew further hate comments against The Roman Catholic Church:: and the gentleman speaks of Love and at the same time hates Catholics: You cannot Love God with venom in yr heart..... get rid of the poison: ... The blessing of gay relationships is a political move to try to keep the Anglican Church and Catholic Church relevant in the West where congregation size and income are dwindling. The Anglican Church as well as the Catholic Church has growing congregations in Latin America and African (GAFCON for Church of England, for example). The seats of the Anglican and Catholic Church in Europe are scared that they will lose control to Latin America and Africa. Thus, to bolster up relevance of the Anglican and Catholic church in Europe and USA, these churches have compromised and become woke and has embraced the LGBTQ+ agenda to bolster congregation numbers in Europe and USA. The whole matter is political and an issue of control and domination of the West over Latin America and Africa.
