Most albatross maps/amvs I've seen paint him as a well-meaning, yet stern father figure to Fathom, when that's not the case in the book at all. Albatross' dialogue with Lagoon (as well as a few letters in the guide) show he was jealous of Fathom, wanting to be the only animus. And I love that this map shows it. When he snaps, he says he wants to watch Fathom die, rather than just sending a knife after him. He wanted to be sure there was no more competition. And all the parts are so well animated, especially that bit with the mantis (I love mantises)

This is genuinely the best wof map I've ever seen, major kudos to all the animators!!

My Nana sang me the original song, she was a kid when her parents sang it to her- 50’s were wacky man. Nowadays we got Twinkle Twinkle little star, back then u have D E A T H and D E S T R U C T I O N.

Okay but one of my favorite villains being animated with a song that would always creep me out as a kid is bring back memories. Good job to all the animators!

OK, I'll admit I was luaghing at the warning about bugs. As there was one onscreen, and a bit too late. I uh... was not prepared xD That was horrific and it was *beautiful*

In my opinion, I do not think too much animus magic made Albatross crazy, I think it was just him being crazy and murderous all because of his sad past. I think he just wanted to get revenge.
