To answer everyone, they we're in love. Whether that means they were girlfriends or not. The point was to show how strong of love they had for one another. Just because they didn't kiss (like everyone is saying), doesn't mean they weren't together. Thats how strong they showed their love. They didn't need to kiss for us to see that.

Lesbianism is about sexuality not love. Love has nothing to to with sexuality. You can love someone without being sexually attracted to them. This video illustrates a deep and strong love between two people but does not illustrate their sexuality at all. Therefore there is no evidence of lesbianism in this video. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I grew up during the heyday of MTV and VH1, when music videos were 'important'. Sure, artists like Beyonce or Lady Gaga still crank 'em out in style, but they're mainly to showcase choreography and attitude. This looks, frankly, like a real, mini-movie. That's how I remember music videos being. The production values here are stunning, the acting is poignant and heartbreaking- look at her face at 4:13- it's a whole lifetime in two or three seconds, the cinematography is gorgeous. THIS is a music video and I'm so glad to see that some people still care enough to make the very best.

It's pretty clear that's what the video director intended, and quite frankly, it's a beautiful and haunting story that fits the mood (if not the actual lyrics) of the song.

My daughter came out two years ago and I still love my daughter nothing changed she is my daughter and I love her no matter what

They're definitely more than just best friends. They might not be lovers but they sure do have feelings for each other. You can see it from their eyes.

Okay, but it's also unfair that that's the response every time two women show closeness. Women can also fall in love with each other, it happens. There's a reason why "gal pals" is such a joke now, it's because a significant amount of people can literally watch two women kiss and go "aww, what good friends." Let women be in love. Also, an exclusive friendship sounds...unhealthy. Perhaps it's worth considering that if a friendship is all of those things, it may not be just a friendship.

Troian's face just melts me. She is mesmerisingly stunning and her acting ability is limitless as you can clearly see in this video. If Hollywood have any sense she will win an Oscar in years to come. While I love her as Spencer , I am actually super excited for it to end so she can take on new roles and she can blossom and get the recognition she deserves for her enormous talent :)

A year ago, I met this song when the relationship with my girlfriend was not going well. It was a very complicated time. We separated and decided to take our way each one by her side but shortly after we returned and tried to do things differently. We got to know each other more, we accepted each other, we cared for each other and we loved each other more. We did magic. I had never seen the video until now and my heart is hurting because she’s gone, she passed away on April 2, 2021. I had never imagined such a story. I've never really felt what it's like to lose the love of your life. But reality exceeds it. The sadness is so deep and the pain so intense, that it is difficult to understand that there are things that were already written and that we must learn something. It’s so hard to leave your dreams and just move on (min 3.31). I miss you my love Fernanda, I miss your smile, miss your soul, the way you enjoy the life. I miss you so much. I just hope that wherever you are, you are immensely happy. May 14th will be our 4th anniversary. Don’t forget it.

I'm so sorry. I lost my sister when I was 19, it's been almost ten years and it still hurts. But it does get better with time, remember to accept how you feel, cry when you need to, hug your loved ones tight and mourn but don't forget that life moves forward even when you feel like it shouldn't. I know my sister would want me to be happy and I'm site yours would too.

This made me cry. I lost her too my best friend as an adolescent who there with me through everything. We had to move after my parents divorced and we were separated. There has never been a time I don’t think about her and how it was once was. How life could have been different if we never had to leave.

Right in the feels. I had a best friend I had been in love with. Not sexually interested. But we'd hold hands and were at each others side in the hard times. We were married on facebook and called each other wifey, until her cousins said that it was "wrong". When she told me we had to stop, my heart dropped. I guess I didnt realize the extent of feelings I had for her. I've had strong emotional feelings for many girls, just never sexually attracted. Perhaps, similar to these two.

Ok...This is long winded but hear me out. The actress at the end is the same as Cleopatra at 55 in the Ballad of Cleopatra from the Lumineers. The young actress in the Ballad of Cleopatra in the Sleep on the Floor video is the same as the one who was in Dots and Dashes by Silversun Pickups. If you place all of these videos together, it weaves an even more complex tale of a woman who has had many loves and you get to see her grow in so many different relationships.

I like to relate the unrelated, and I thought I would share this. Notice the Head and the Heart album in my picture :) this is one of my favorite music videos, it told an entire story in less than 5 minutes.

I’ve always loved this song but have never watched the video and now I wish I hadn’t. It’s so heartbreakingly beautiful.

Simple, beautiful and heartfelt song and accompanying video treatment. No, they don't make videos like they used to, but neither does that rare band like The Head and the Heart come along everyday, so this is indeed a refreshing, welcome and much-appreciated example of wonderful artistry.
