Realistically I think the only way the Hawks can be okay with moving on from Trae Young is if they get their picks back from the Spurs. Giving up on Trae over Dejounte is a mistake. Trae has proven he can be a first/second option despite his size. Dejounte has not.

Let’s Trade Trae for nothing, just to dump his salary. The hawks have enough talent, just don’t need Trae.

Interesting trade idea for you! Pelicans get: Dejounte Murry and Okongwu Kings get: Brandon Ingram and Larry Nance Hawks get: Harrison Barnes and Kevin heurter, dillion Mitchell and Dyson Daniels plus 2 first from kings and 1 from pelicans lottery protected. Hawks start the rebuild, they get more first round picks along with some young talent with some vets that can be flipped down the line. Kings get that 3rd star, he can provide scoring and some defense and with Larry nance a good back up big. The pelicans finally get that guard they want and they can get a starting center as well, thus why they had to give up a first. I believe the salary works but lmk. Thoughts?

I think the Wizards take 1 of 3 players Clingan Topic Holland With Clingan & Topic being the for sure 1 of 2 they take. Rockets take either Reed Sheppard or Rissacher

They need Point and the Topic archetype has been seen before and it does not translate very well. They will prolly take Collier or Castle

@@user-qh6nt9nb6p they definitely won’t take Collier brotha. He might not even be a lottery pick, let alone the 2nd pick in the draft. They need a center. Good Point guards are much more attainable in the nba than Centers are. Also you want to draft a center 1-2 years before you actually need him to be good! They will aim next year for the franchise changing guy! In Flagg, Harper, Edgecomb, Bailey etc. I know it may not be nice to hear but Poole is your point guard for the coming future. He has 3 years left on his overpriced deal. He’s not gonna be a moveable asset for at least a year or 2. They like him & have confidence that he can still lead a team… we can come back to this on draft night though. I’m certain they take either Topic (because they view his upside as one of the best in the drafts especially with pick #2) but ultimately I think they take Clingan. Throw him in the fire for the next year or two & see what he can do. He’s an astonishing athlete. A bit high for a traditional center but he’s a great building block. I think Topic slides to 4 for San Antonio, Matas goes to Detroit unless they trade the pick( he has ties to the Detroit organization thru his agent). Ron or Castle goes to Charlotte. Whichever one doesn’t go to Charlotte goes to Portland. Then I think you have Cody Williams or (if Houston doesn’t take Sheppard) then I think they take him here. That’s just my top 8. Cody Williams most likely goes to either Memphis or Utah. Etc… gets harder to list out after the top 8 but you catch the drift. I wouldn’t be mad if Washington took Castle. I just don’t think it happens here. Too much invested in Poole. & the center rotation is terrible with Bagley being a starting caliber center.

I love this move for ATL. I hope they do move Trae… Zion & Trae would be must see TV with Herb & TM3. Sarr, B.I, JJ, & Dejounte is a tough tough top 4

Trae for Vassell, Sochan pick 4, and all of Atlanta's picks back. Murray, Johnson, Sarr, Vassell, Sochan starting 5. I think Vassell would be great with Murray cause he doesn't need the ball.
