I despise people like Ava’s mom. The way she treats people is so unjust. First of all when Ava broke her doll house and blamed it on Olivia she didn’t even hear both sides of the story. And even if she did she wouldn’t have cared anyway. And what irks me the most is that I know how Olivia feels. I was hated by my older sister from the day I was born and continuing today (I'll be 73 in 2 weeks). Our parents were wonderful, encouraging - loving - rarely criticizing but always praising. After I was told I did something well, looked nice, etc. N. would wait until the parents were gone and pick me apart - telling me how stupid I was, ugly, worthless and that our parents wanted to put me up for adoption when I was born. From my earliest ability to understand what someone said - I grew up with no self-esteem, no acceptance of my true abilities. And wondered why I struggled with severe suicidal depression. This past year my memories of this came to my awareness. I know now I am very talented, loving, intelligent and deserving of much more than I allowed myself in life. And - no more depression. Funny - I still love my older sister, but do not like her at all and will not allow her any space in my life.
