The Harsh Truth Of Bollywood Success & Fame

Ойын-сауық

With the waves that #vickykaushal is causing with his #bollywood dance moves and the odd song that just dropped with #triptidimri , I wanted to talk about what's become obvious regarding female actors and the journey they have to embark upon with commercial cinema. This is true for #telugu cinema too, with the recent absurd music video of an upcoming film that just dropped! I hope you like the Janam Review & Analysis | Tripti Dimri | Vicky Kaushal | Ravi Teja | Age Gap Problem

This is really strange. Many people are trolling Tripti for doing films like Animal and Bad newz. But when she was doing films like Laila Majnu, Qala and Bulbbul no one appreciated her. After seeing her in Animal, people have made her national crush.

No one is forcing tripti. When Anushka Sharma was appreciated but called the bubbly girl for rab ne bana di, she didn't like that. She also did badmash company to show her sexy side. Tripti is also doing the same. They want to change their innocent women's image. Anushka was yashraj girl. No struggle at all. But female leads want to look like hollywood actors. No one wants to look like an innocent traditional Indian woman. I don't judge them.

Tabu is a great example of fighting against temptation of glamorous roles. She was not counted among mainstream actresses like Madhuri, Shridevi, Karishma, Rani and so on. She relied on her acting talent. But now, Tabu is the one getting the most limelight out of the 90s actresses.

@@sumitwarvatkar898 Who said women are 50% of cinema audience? It depends on how many women are educated enough to support strong female lead roles. Because there are a lot of women who don't have 'proper' education. The fact is Karan johar will never cast Alia Bhatt or jahnvi kapoor for roles like bad newz or even Lust stories. For that he’ll go to kriti sanon, kiara advani and tripti dimri. Why couldn’t have he cast kiara advani or kriti sanaon in Rocky or rani. Alia was ill suited to carry off that kind of role. All of dharma’s b grade projects will go to tripti from now on. Also another disturbing trend I've noticed is that people like Ileana, Genelia, Tamannah, were supposed to be in their "prime" when they were between 18-25 that's it and if you go back and see the roles they did back then it's just cringey and borderline disturbing.... Overly focusing on their bodies and navel for some random reason and they were romancing actors twice their age back then and now these actresses aren't getting those big movie roles anymore as they're "older" but the old actors who were romancing them are older now, still getting big roles and movies but now romancing actresses even younger than them..... As the age gap widens it's the actresses who are phased out and replaced not the old men

Can someone really say with their conscience that Srk was okay choice for Dunki. What i laugh more is that this audience even destroyed a talented actor like Hrithik and just made him an eye candy greek God. Anyway, continue to do so as you all wish bcz this wil be the bane of you. And now dont say that you people don't care about Oscars, bcz last year all india was celebrating when RRR won in a minor category like original song.😂😂😂😂

Though anushka did commercial roles but her main success is because of her roles like arundhati , dhamarukam , bhagamathi , bahubali , and sai pallavi for shyam singh roy , love story , premam , ramayan too . Honourable and most important example is Soundarya too . If she is alive still then i think sridevi would have had a tough competetion in acheiving superstar tag . The genre of movies soundarya chose are much relatable to daily life women then / about daily struggles of a women but still respecting men . The boom of OTT which should have been a shining light for underrated artists(writers, actors etc) has been made to look like a segregation between cinema and “commercial” cinema. A much needed topic of conversation. I have observed for a long while that the upcoming actresses start their journey with less than mediocre roles sexy dance partners to the leading, dashing savior-"the hero". When they have established themselves in the industry, they experiment with indie films, and female-centric movies where they get that meaty role that actually demands of their acting potential. They shine no doubt but the openings and the kind of audience they are catering to are not enough to sustain their jobs. They need to create a balance among item numbers, commercial glam doll roles and small interesting projects. I always questioned their roles in Telugu cinema but now looking at the scarcity of their appearances, and lack of storylines for strong / impactful characters in the female domain( not only the lead but all the female character artists are confined to do is cry while their husband commands, shower love or stay mum while the husband deals with stuff smh) it is evident that they are making bread of what is available. You gotta do what you gotta do.

I think why we feel internally displaced by Tripti’s objectification in Animal and Bad News is because she set the acting bar really high for women in the industry and then stooped low for her commercial movies. Justifying her recent choices is like justifying casting couch for a couple of good roles. Look what happened with Bhumi Pednekat. People loved her authenticity in her acting while she did movies with a strong message. The moment she decided to look, move and act like a successful commercial actress, she lost all the fan following and sadly her fans’ respect at the same time. Unless you’re honest to your craft, the audiences can look straight into your soul and reject you either when they’re bored of you or when they see your dishonesty towards your talent.

Honestly, can't blame her. It's already 10 years she been in the industry doing roles here and there. If she cannot even afford to live in the city to continue her work, what else can she do?

In the Tamil movie industry, it was Jayalalitha who romanced MGR, a man literally her father's age. Back then, viewers criticized her when rumors flew about her being in love with him. To this day, even after her demise, people still point fingers at her. Didn't the grown man MGR know better than a young Jayalalitha? Regardless of the industry, women are still often treated as props in movies. While the situation is better today, we still have a long way to go to make the movie industry inclusive for all, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or caste. If we continue to talk about these issues, call out wrongdoing, and point in the right direction, a better future looks possible, even though it might still be far away.
