It's insane how far the bar has been raised since the early 2000s! I'll never be able to tailwhip but now babies come out of the womb throwing backflips!

you have inspired me so much, do you have any tips on getting over mental blocks?
@PorterMTB
Жыл бұрын
That's awesome to hear! Mental blocks can be tough, after a hard crash on a big backflip it took me 5-6 years to do another flip. My best advice in short form here is to work through what scares you about whatever it is, and then handle each part of it step by step. If you're scared to hit a new jump, figure out what specifically scares you about that jump and then practice those skills in a safer setting, like if you're scared of a gap jump, try to find a similar size tabletop jump you can hit slower and in control and work your way up to the full jump, then hit it so many times you are 100% confident to hit the gap jump. Hope that helps!

Some of these bikes don’t have brakes. Others have long enough cables to wrap around once or twice but they have to be turned back around after. I think there is also a way people route the cables down through the the thing at the top of the fork (I don’t remember the name) and out the bottom and that solves the issue.
