Funny how final nemesis 200% speed on Hardcore doesn't look as hard as he is on just regular speed on Inferno. I know I haven't played it at 200% speed yet, but final stage Nemesis took me like 100 tries on normal speed on Inferno lol

This is harder than RE2 because RE2 is an horror game, and this one is an action game. It gets all the focus on gameplay paced by reactivity, it's a game where you're rewarded for fighting things rather than trying to go around them etc, it's a coridor anyway.

@Zoomer Stasi people saying RE3 and RE3R are the same don't think it whole through. RE3 original is still built around survival horror mechanics. Have you ever ran out of ammo in RE3R ? Have you ever been really surprised by Nemesis in RE3R ? RE3R is closer in design to a game like Doom 2016 than is it to Resident Evil. It's a succession of stages with set things to do and things to just blast through. The only part where you're feeling kinda free to roam are the streets. There is no sense of size, you're never overwhelmed by the size of the map because you know you'll get through the scripted events and when it's done it's done. You don't get surprised by the scripts ever unlike the multitude of surprising optional scripts you get in RE3, and you character always throws out bad lines whenever something happens to him. Imagine OG Carlos randomly going "One at a time, take a number!" and commenting everytime you do something. Anywayyyyyy I'm still surprised people are still thinking it's the same games and stuff, using shortcuts and making me go on a rant again.

agreed with the first part you said (the focus of the game), but not so much with the second. at least the older resident evil games that were absolutely horror'esque also gave you enough ammo to kill your enemies if you take the time to find it. in old resi 2 you got your ammo back for smacking the tyrant (a feature i desperately miss in the remake). in resi 3 you were even rewarded for standing up against nemesis with cool weapon kits. you get plenty of ammo even on the hardest difficulty (and you can play em both pistol only and still smack most enemies!). a good horror game doesnt need to take away your ammo, it simply needs to induce enough fear to make it difficult for you to not just straight up run away but actually stand your ground (like good old dead space did; or ofc the old resi titles).

@@Daxter250 "enough ammo if you take the time to find it" Well yeah, that's balancing the game, Silent Hill also gives plenty of ammo so that you don't get stuck to much. But the og games leaves you scared of going out of ammo, first playthrough of RE3 in normal mode (no shotgun and Magnum in the chest) has much bigger ammo and weapons management and it can cripple you because you don't know whether Nemesis is standing right behind your save room door, or if a literally randomly chosen monster will block your way to get the new ammo. Even new game + gets scary in the sense that all encounter are random, and Nemesis is scripted to appear differently depending of your route and choices. It is the sense of unknown that induce fear. RE3 remake? Gives you enough ammo in every room of the game : players don't need to really wander (especially since you can't really wander, everything is closed) to get resources to survive. New game+ ? I mean you get new enemies in weird places, but that is more of an arcade feel. The most obvious thing that breaks immersion for the sake of pure battle gameplay is the enhanced speed of animation which looks ridiculous. I get the similarities between re3 og and remake, but they alone can't make the remake a good one if you miss 90% of what is really important, and that is how the game should actually feel. And re3r feels like an arcade game.

@@terminat4028 dude, read my comment again. i agree with you on the first part, but not on the second part which is the following: " it's a game where you're rewarded for fighting things rather than trying to go around them etc, it's a coridor anyway." and that sounds like resi 3 remake is a pewpew shooter (which could be true... didnt play it on my own yet, just saw footage of it) while the OG resi 3 is a run away game and that is simply not true. the OG game offers you BOTH ways, be it fighting or going around enemies. it's not always a black and white experience. heck you can even create special ammo if you craft enough ammo of the same type. special ammo... enough ammo... crafting... does that sound like an amnesia game for you? PS: what you call normal mode is actually hard mode. there is no normal mode in resi 3. only easy and hard mode.
