I nerded out a bit and did some rough math to calculate the probability of a banshee scream after X number of Paramic events. I assume a banshee scream has a 33% probability per event and that the events are independent, meaning the Paramic events that happened earlier have no impact on the next. In short, after 6 whispers, you can be 91% certain that it is not a banshee and 8 to be 95% certain. You would need 17 whispers in total to have a 99.9% certainty. At your typical 4 whispers, you can be just shy of 80% certain. Take that as you will :)

That's pretty interesting info, but I don't think it's exactly accurate since ghosts do sounds that you can only hear using the paramic all the time, even if you aren't listening. I left a regular comment about this already explaining that the reason Banshees always have a super high abilities used count is because every scream they do will tick it up by one. Insym just got unlucky enough to be using the paramic at times when the Banshee wasn't screaming, until he got the scream on the 7th sound he heard through the paramic.

That's why I keep suggesting him to mainly use the roaming ability to identify Banshees: alongiside it, paramic can still be used, but the roaming makes it so obvious anyway

Holy shit I think this was the first time I ever heard a banshe scream. It was quite underwhelming to be honest.

I'm 99% certain that the inclusion of the single sanity med bottle is for clearing the moroi curse, since that doubles your passive sanity drain.

I used candles and thermo to try and save sanity and find the ghost room. Run around with the candle then place the candle in the room and pull out the thermo to look for the temp change. Then if none move to the empty slot pick up the candle and repeat the process for the next room. Ended up getting two demons which is pretty spicy since they early hunt.

Demon's Spiritbox, Freezing Temps, and Writing, mixing with Wraith and Mare both having Spiritbox and Temps, led my group to calling it the "Spirit Temps Trauma Trio." For the longest time. Now that it's changed, I always forget the new evidences for them.

I usually play professional and very rarely get hunts because I'm careful with sanity. This was a nice challenge that forced me to practice surviving hunts (survived the oni and the twins, died to the shade lol) and practice with two evidence. For the level I'm at it felt like a nice balance of challenge and doable.

This weekly was interesting. My friends and I had 2 Spirits and a Raiju, pretty much only figured out the Spirits because of the lack of abilities being used lol. At least one of the ghosts made itself super obvious

This week's challange was actually very difficult. Normally I'm able to do the challenges by myself but this week I had to have a friend help me. Our first ghost was a banshee that for some reason hunted when I was alone in the house but also hunted when my friend was alone in the house. It also only ever roamed to our location ONCE in 25 minutes! Got lucky with the next 3 ghosts as they had very obvious hunting tells. We got raiju, thaye, and raiju

ended up with two raijus and twins !! thankfully got lucky 😂 the chain hunts were CRAZY

Yea lol, as someone commented above, 4 whispers and you still have over a 1/5 chance of it being a banshee, so that rule should be 6 - 8 if you wanna be sure

got lucky with two Goryos in a row (cowardly watched the cameras from the truck) and then got in the house, and while I searched for the room, I noticed the burned down Crucifix (it was left outside at the enter, as I drag the equipment to the house first then come in), which assured me it was an unlucky Entrance Demon. But this challenge was way too hard for my lame ass, good thing it was the last one for the achievement

Gonna be honest this challenge is literally unfair. Got 2 shades that spawned in the room i was in, so, yeah. Got a Jinn, literally impossible to test for. Any challenge that removes smudge stick just ends up being awful because the game isnt designed around it. On top of that not having 3 evidence and having the possibility for ghosts that are either completely bugged or impossible to test for. Bleh challenge. Also got a spirit which you also cant test for. Super cool.

We got wrecked a couple times during this challenge. Especially at one point where the ghost hunted right behind us and team wiped us 1st successful ghost- banshee 2nd- demon 3rd- wraith 4th (late player joined)- deo

I mean even if Sanity Medication gives 0 you can still use it to get rid of Moroi Curse i guess

He streamed on youtube a few days ago and part of that stream included this. I'm pretty sure he then shortens the vids down and edits them so they're shorter and have all the less boring parts in (like sometimes sitting and doing nothing for a while) and uploads them. So there is a chance you've watched this before.

one of the ghosts I got for this challenge was a thaye. I walked in the room and it hunted instantly and I dont know how i managed to survive that game. I couldn't get near the room to get the aggressiveness and speed to decrease. it was crazy.

You always start with 75% in Insanity Mode and the sanity medication gives 20% and u get only 1 piece of evidence in insanity. Nightmare Mode has 100% starting sanity like the below difficulties and the sanity medication gives 25% also you get only 2 pieces of evidence in nightmare

game is still buggy as f. I keep getting these UV bugs where it conflicts with the house lights or flashlight lit area and results in a box of darkness in the house, which turns back when I switch off UV. You can try dropping the Ouija board between the car and hiding spot on Tanglewood.. I was facing the front right tire (back to the lockers) when I dropped it and it slowly crawled under the car and out of reach..

Banshee always gets an extremely high abilities used count because ghosts constantly do noises that you can only hear on the paramic which includes the banshee scream which counts as an ability used for the Banshee.

I got cursed this week with a banshee, jinn, and spirit. I only figured out my starting sanity after dying to a goryo when I thought my sanity was around 75% (but was in fact closer to 47%)

I just want to ask if one of my friends is a good or bad friend. because I'm feeling upset about how they treat me different to my other friends, because they don't really talk to me, and invite my other friends to phasmo to play, then when I ask to join on discord, they delete my dms (from being a higher role in the server), and don't reply. another friend said it's because I'm to good at phasmo, and I'm no fun. but I barely know shit about the game. are they a good friend? or should I stop being friends with them. I feel left out and upset about it.
