THE HARDEST CRASH I'VE EVER HAD? - CRANKWORX MTB SLOPESTYLE

Спорт

The hardest crash i've ever had? - Crankworx MTB slopestyle ends in disaster at the Silverstar bike park in Canada! I ride my first Canadian contest in a few years but a huge slam ruined my chances, this sucked!
I'm now out in Canada for 1 month of mountain bike riding and also hitting up 2 gold level FMB slopestyle contests while i'm here and this is the first event the Crankworx Silverstar Slopestyle and the course is an absolute beast with huge jumps and drops littered all around the hill and with excitement levels high I was stoked to get into the action! I do a track walk with Tom Isted and show you the crazy features on this course before heading to the top for a run through this incredible looking line on my custom Haibike dirt jump bike. Would you ride this course?
I hope you enjoy the video!

Its so amazing you came to ride at the mountain my boyfriend and I frequent every weekend! We decided to watch an hour of finals between riding on sunday, and you were there in the crowd! I couldnt believe it! The best part was I got to meet you in person and get a picture with you. That small moment will stand out in my memory as one of the best moments of my life. As someone whos only been riding for the last 2 years, watching your videos inspire me to constantly push myself and aim to do better. You are hands down my favorite rider, from your skill to the content you make to your down to earth personality! You never fail to amaze me by being able to do a flare on literally anything, especially at the pump track we ride on here in Vernon. I was so heart broken when I watched this because I could tell how let down you were at not being able to compete after placing for finals. But just know I was just as excited to see you there in the crowd as I would have been to see you ride! I hope your injury heals quickly and you can continue to kill it at riding, because I know you would have been on that podium and you deserved to be on it. You make every day epic for fans like me, dont let this small defeat keep you down. I know youll rise above it and come back better than ever!

Listen Sam, you're still da best, man! I mean that sincerely. Back when i used to do all the crazy stuff on my bike slopestyle wasn't even a thing yet, lol. U just had bearclaw switching over from bmx and doing stuff like flat drop 360s. Just thank your lucky stars that you've been able to do all that you have and pray that u never have a major low back injury because they can be absolutely career ending. You're starting to fill that old veteran spot like Ryan nyquist did a few yrs ago when he switched over briefly to mtb where u are always going to get the roar of the crowd and be a fan favorite anytime u make the finals regardless of the finish. I've always been a fan since u first burst on the tour as a young bright eyed bushy tailed buck all those years ago and you've already reached the summit, man. Not that many people can say they ever had a 1st place finish at a major fmb event much less no. 1 for the season. Keep your head up, mate and keep on shredding. You're an inspiration to us old geezers and more importantly to the young kiddos on the come up that keep pushing and progressing the sport

When I learned to scuba dive, there was an expression (something like): it’s better to quit a dive and dive another day. I guess it boils down to something on lines of: however much you want to do something, if it doesn’t feel right, then you should accept that and move on to the next thing. We’d have all loved to have seen you take a podium, but health is much more important - be well and stay safe… we’re rooting for you!

Sorry you got hurt and I hope you heal quickly. Even in bad moments like these you once again demonstrate your great personality by knowing when to stop, I'm glad you didn't do the final regarding this injury and can't wait for the new video. (Btw, I already received my new pilgrips and I enjoy the feel)🤙

Really sucks about the injury Sam and obviously I wish you were able to go to the finals however I really enjoyed the storytelling and being there with you through difficult moments after the crash. It felt like we were there with ya! Keep it epic dude.
