1: full length awning, eliminate the tent. 2: travel trailer fold out stairs 3: swing out handrail at the side door stairs for customer safety 4: crank down jacks on trailer corners to eliminate trailer suspension bounce when people walk through trailer 5: square front trailer for additional interior space compared to pointed nose trailer.

Be careful with the full-sized canopies mounted on the trailer. They can easily be damaged and then you have nothing to use. Consider longer legs for the tent instead

Agree with other suggestions …. some other thoughts- - Putting adhesive, non-skid treads on ramp. Once rain comes, even if covered, ramp will get wet & slick. - Steps need a hand rail, at least on one side. - Signs above freezers with what’s in each freezer - Agree with some sort of ‘enter here’ or ‘come on in & shop’ > agree w/ what Chuck mentioned- I would not have walked into trailer unless I saw Saundra b/c I would’ve thought I wasn’t allowed in there. - Brighter or taller sign near ramp…I remember seeing something about steaks on your sign but that’s it. You guys offer a MUCH wider variety of pork (and beef) products but that isn’t apparent to the average person walking by booth now. With prior set-up, people passing by scanned the magnetic signs quickly and bingo- saw you had sausage, tenderloin, etc and were likely drawn into the booth to check things out. How do you clearly show your variety of products to those walking by so they want to come in?

First thing I would recommend is you not leave your cash box sitting on the table while you aren't standing next to it. lol. Ans maybe one of you stand at the entrance to the trailer? Everyone knows you both, so a familiar face at the entrance will draw them to the trailer. Glad it was a great first day with it. 🥰

May want to consider putting something non slip on tailgate, I have a trailer that I use for my cabinet business and a little moisture and it gets very slippery. Also a handrail at both doors, older people will appreciate that I believe. But other than that seems like a great idea!

Slide the tent, all the way against the trailer, spin your table around where the sign is facing outward, and also slide it against the trailer flash with the entrance. Bring in an additional table and connect it to the table with the sign, making an L shape so people exiting out the trailer may place their items on the new table for a check out. And I always enjoy watching your videos!

Add a canopy/awning over the entrance ramp so that Sandra can sit out front and welcome people into the trailer. Also on rainy days that ramp can become slippery, so keeping it try would be good. You mentioned that the steps were a little high. Watch your second customer in the video. Highly recommend a handrail, she was a little unstable and almost stepped off of the second step. Great setup on the coolers. Looks like you have room above them for shelves for more product.

I really like your "new look". You've already identified the things that work/don't work so things are looking good. I know you already have plans to put a monitor on the wall with a video of your beautiful farm (and the humane conditions that your animals are kept in). I think it all looks good. I would recommend a ramp on the exit (perhaps with a handrail for the elderly/infirm as I'd hate to see anyone fall on your steps. People really do appreciate that you're doing everything possible to be inclusive. Of course, the extra booth looks a bit bare so it would be great if you could tie it in with your trailer and, possibly, extend your range of goods for sale - but you've already identified that. There are already lots of good suggestions from other viewers One things for sure: you'll have plenty of space for ice-cream / ice lollies when it gets hot ;-) Oh. I almost forgot: a supply of business cards/ flyers advertising your farm and what you have to offer would be good too. I know you have it on your trailer but a flyer would be a good "memory jogger". Can I aso suggest that you place the meat side up (so the customer can see the quality) and the black side with the label down? When a customer likes what they see, you've already sold it by the time they look at the price label. What I mean to say is the price label shouldn't be the first thing the customer sees.

Hello my suggestion is have your tent right up against side of trailer. Come on in sign. Inside trailer on walls have some sort of signage of what your selling. Have a life size cut out sign of you guys pointing with you pointing into your stand. Your the brand.!! Have an arrow on the drop down door so people know it's OK to walk in on your door. Have a product list pamphlet you hand out. ❤

Having sold our farm-raised meat out of coolers at markets for years you are on the right track!! You can pack any day of the week, you don't have to unpack as soon as you get back and the product stays MUCH better! We also have a retail stand that people shop the freezers and they really like being able to pick out their product. I agree that you need handrails and none skid on the ramp...maybe you can use non-skid paint to paint WELCOME on the ramp. And the idea of a roll out canopy like a camper as someone suggested would tie the spots together and eliminate the hassle of the tent. Keep up the good work!

You could put a non-slip mat on the ramp going into your trailer. Put your logo on the mat. Make the logo big and bright, so everyone knows who you are. When you get a larger trailer look into an ATV/Snowmobile trailer with ramp doors front and back, that will eliminate the steps. Adding lettering either to the walls or freezer tops with what products are below, ( steaks, roasts, hamburger) . Ad open flags to the rear of the trailer would also help. Adding an awning to the right side of the trailer so when customers walk out your right there & hang t-shirts and caps from it.

Glad to see it was a good day! Instead of a new canopy could you get a retractable awning that comes off the steps side of the trailer? That way you could set your checkout table up next to the stairs and sit behind it with your back to the trailer, making it much more understandable as one cohesive piece but keep your checkout flow path. It would also cover the stairs above door height so you wouldn't have to worry about figuring that out. Smart move to make the change, I caught sight of at least two booths that must be your viewers in the background, looked like clones of last year in different colors!

Since a lot of people recognize yall by the red coolers, maybe put a couple outside the ramp into the trailer as pseudo funnels to show them in. Could even put the chalkboard on them, I think signs are read more often at a higher level than looking down. People are a lot like cattle, they'll usually take the easiest path of least resistence.

Our local dairy does raw milk in cookies days at their place and a bunch of local venders set booths, there is a big sand pile and swing set for the kids to play on. The fee is $5 to get in, free parking, $3 for a small cookie and small milk. They let my toddler sneak a little more. The barns are open for the kids and parents to see all the animals. They had a couple food booths selling local burgers I can’t remember $10 or $15, the beef was great, they sold out for the year from the one event and had a raffle. You could do a play on something like that like mini chicken n a waffle festival or something else. i took things to a FM for 20 yr in bath NY. I was the 7th person to join. We opened at 6am and closed at noon. Then it got bigger and starting time was put at 7am and closing at noon. Time went by and it went to an 8am start still closing at noon. It also became more of a flea market with only 13 ppl selling stuff they had grown out of about 60 venders. I liked it when we had 6 hr to sell. could sell a lot more then just the 4 hr they went to. I left market b/c I did not have even that 4 hr anymore twice a week Sat and Wed. Had set up a bunch of honor stands and those hr were need to fill them. hell back in 06 the town fathers tried to stop the market but public said no and three lost their seats over it. The market i went to relied on the lack ppl to support it. By lake ppl I mean the 5M ppl who live in the finger Lakes regime of Upstate NY in summer only,. Rich ppl who ma & kids go to the lake house while Da comes up form City on weekends. Do they ever pay high prices. We all had to prices. The one we had marked for the rich ppl and then the price we slod to much poorer locals We all knew who was who. I went and got the ability to take food stamps and WIC. These ppl paid half of what the rich lake ppl paid. When we had opening at 6am the locals came before 8 then after hat it was mostly lake ppl. I like the 6am opening b/c of this.

Id look into a large jackery or similar product. The generator is going to work but a battery generator is perfectly quiet. Hand rails and big bold signs. Your farm logo on the ramp in a skateboard tape and beer, pork and chicken over every cooler

Agree on the handrails. You could mount the handrail on removable pins or hinges. I would also consider getting some stanchions with ropes/flags etc directing people up the ramp.

turn your meat so it can be seen, black side down. Impulse buying this the best marking tool, and eye appeal is a must. Your red and white coolers and tent are your trade mark they are used to seeing red and white. full size decal on end of freezers to catch there eye.. Large decals above freezer on the wall iding whats in them ie: beef, pork, chicken..... picture of each animal type in freezer..

I love the new trailer. One possible idea maybe could be a mat of some sort with your logo on it that can lay on the back ramp once you open it up 🤷🏻‍♀️

You need to put red and white around the top of the trailer to make it look like the tents. When refilling the baskets in the freezers you shouldn’t sit the basket on the glass tops it’s going to scratch them.

Trailer would sit sideways and the side door would be entrance and y’all on the backside for the exit. Looks great

Stack your coolers on the left and right side of the trailer with your sign and people will see the red coolers and know it’s you. Just a thought. Thank you for what you do.

I’d also consider getting your tent as closer to the trailer as you can, that’ll help. Maybe get your checkout area closer to the entrance to the trailer. Maybe a different angle?

Use a banner that runs across both both sites. Use your chosen color to identify and unify the whole operation. The print on your signs should include letters or borders in your main color. People identify you with red. What is the benefit of changing your main color theme? Use the incline ramp as sighage. "Welcome to Sheraton Farms Meat Market!" For instance. Maybe have an indoor/outdoor with the Welcome sign printed on it. That plywood will get slippery in the rain. Must provide hand rails going in and out. One slip and fall could cost you everything. Really liked what you are doing there.

When you are comfortable and ready to sell out, make some posts on social media. Here we have mom and tot groups on Facebook and a single post would get you a ton of sales. There are also a ton of gardening pages that would also allow occasional posts of local producers. Some homemade yogurt popsicles/push ups in plastic with home fruit might go over really well to drive traffic. We have chef at the market if you have one work out how you can donate some meat to the farmers market as a tax write off while having the chef at the market doing a cooking demonstration and giving samples. Free labor, free advertisement. Please need to be able to taste the difference. Our market does the chef thing and it’s amazing how many people sit in the chair in the tent and watch. Out sausage and bacon are $15 lb = ca, they sell out consistently. Our market has the live music too which really makes it a destination experience to go.

Hello, I noticed you spoke of a void in between the tent and trailer add a large sign in between the two. I also agree add an entry way sign. Looks great with your new setup! Take care y’all!

A couple of things I can think of are steps with rails, awning like RV'S have. Signs above the freezers with what type of meat and the cut. Might be a good idea to put anti-slip on ramp and steps. Some type of hat rack or shelf for the hat's to sell.

Canopy on the trailer would negate the tent. Hand railing on your exit steps. Displays along your entrance ramp to prevent people cutting the corner and tripping on the ramp/cables. LOTS of white wall space inside, add list of whats in the freezer or professional looking canvas photos of the farm? 18in 1.5inch pvc slipped over your table legs would raise it up to a better operating height. And flip your product so they can see the meat.

I have a similar setup with the trailer. I’ve been wanting to add a RV canopy to the side of the trailer. I really like your freezers they make it easy for the customer to see what you have. I also made signs for the end of my freezers so people walking by could see what we were a meat vendor. Your setup looks awesome god bless hope y’all have a great season

Nice clean look inside the trailer. I would recommend to install white boards above each cooler. You will be able to let your customers know what is in each freezer and the price. When you run out of an item you can just wipe it off the board. Good luck

Great job with the trailer setup! I was thinking a retractable awning with the stairs would be great. Even better on another trailer which a little higher a flip up side which has window like a food trailer would have for better customer viewing inside and outside. On the flip down rear paint on the floor “Enter Here” or “Come on in Ya’ll” “Farms inside” “where’s the Beef inside” or “Step Inside for Farm Fresh Flavor!" or "Enter Here for the Best in Farm Fresh!"

Maybe try putting the tent up against the trailer there’s enough space in between the tent and the trailer in this video that I can see how people may have thought that it was a different booth. Also, I agree with the comment about putting a handrail on at least one side of the steps.

I think I would put entrance on the ramp in big letters, put a handrail on the steps and move the tent right next to the trailer. That's just what I think might help. It looked like a nice setup, just might need a little fine tuning as you go.

Maybe try an additional trailer and hook em together. Bridge the gap between the 2 and have the additional for dry good and register etc...
