Her husband just went to a church thing in Serbia a few days ago and kept posting stories about it on his IG, so she's probably with her family in Russia again.

I agree with you. I’m always excited to decorate for a holiday and then excited to get the house back to normal afterwards. It’s fun watching your girls grow-Adeline is definitely a toddler now, no longer a baby, and Agatha so much enjoyed taking down the decorations and cooking, both with you and real food and then with her Play Dough food and real condiments.

'Can I borrow some mustard?' Totally normal toddler question. 😅

Happy New Year Vika, Tolya, and your beautiful girls... I didn't celebrate Christmas this year, so had no festive decorations to remove. My sister died suddenly at the end of November and her funeral was on the 22nd Dec. She loved Christmas! This year I didn't feel like celebrating, in December 2024 I will be hanging every festive decoration possible to celebrate and honour her. Wishing you all the best for 2024!

I love how you share your cooking skills. I live in Arizona, United States. We primarily use sour cream as a condiment. After we make spicy food, a dollop of sour cream is often served on top of the food or on the side. We also have great sour cream here, we have access to Mexican sour cream here and it's very good. I have never actually cooked sour cream in my food though, until I saw how common it was over where you are, and I decided to give it a try. Now I am hooked! So delicious in many meat dishes! Thank you!

Agatha is really becoming her own person now, it’s so cool to be seeing your family since Agatha was Adeline’s age and just seeing how you all develop but younger people go through so many more changes in shorter times it’s so fascinating watching them learn language and figure out motor skills etc until they eventually get independent and can problem solve based on the things you’ve taught them like Agatha seems to be becoming

Because probably nobody is showing off bunch of products forcing me to buy them consumerism and constantly making people feel bad for not having “enough”! I will take my tree down later this week. My youngest son leaves to go back to Seminary tomorrow, so after he is gone, I will take it down. I love having the lights turned on, along with candles burning (not near the tree), It's been below zero degrees here for a couple of weeks, and dark even during daylight, so the lights have been nice to have.

We just removed decorations this weekend also. A good feeling to “reset”. Happy New Year!

Hey Vika, sorry to hear y’all have been sick. Hopefully by now everyone is feeling better. I think it is so precious when little Agata, (correct spelling of her name please?) cooks along side of her mama. Not only does she love to help you, she is learning so many valuable skills. Tolya, sounds like you’ve been working on your English skills….this video you spoke more English and it was nice to hear. I know most European families are bilingual at minimum. Unfortunately the United States does not require us to learn a second language. In high school a foreign language is an elective…. Learn or not, student chooses! 😢 I have been learning Deutsch online but only know about 600 words so far. I have Deutsch heritage and would have been nice if family had continued with homeland language within the home. Love your videos and all the natural laughter. God bless each of you. Hello Vika and family. I am so glad you are all well again. Agatha is such a wonderful helper. She seems content to do everything with no complaining. Little Adeline is growing up quickly too. Such a cute smile. The snow looks beautiful. We are having our first beautiful cool day here after sweltering for weeks in Australia. Temperatures in some parts of Australia have reached 47 degrees celsius. We get high humidity along the coast too. We are looking forward to winter this year.

A working stove is fabulous! It looks fine :) I have an instant pot and realized that you have to watch for steam underneath the cabinet.

Adelina looks like you a lot😊 You’re right about the Christmas decor, it looks tired after the festive season’s over…although I kept mine up till almost 3 weeks into January. Glad you’re feeling better now, hopefully the snow and cold get rid of the viruses and whatnot.

Sorry to hear that you and your family weren't feeling well. There are lots of colds, flus and other illnesses going around here too. My Holiday season was very quiet. My family is scattered across Canada. I was suppose to fly to Newfoundland Canada to my daughter and her family but I have problems with my ears and did not want to risk injuring them further. I am not really a Christmas person any more (December 25). I did have a fun New Year's Eve (December 31) as a few gals got together and played a game off and on, talked and had champagne at midnight. I have not celebrated New Year's eve for many many years so was a nice change. Agatha is quite the little helper now. :)

We also had a very sick holiday. The whole family.
