For many more years than I care to count I’ve struggled to manage knitting. I know HOW to do it, but I’ve never been ABLE to do it, as my fingers refused to cooperate. With this pattern, though, I think my fingers have got it.

Absolutely love your tutorials! Your voice is so easy to listen to. Is it copacetic to alternate the type of yarn used during the making of this shawl. For example, I began knitting with double yarns in an Aran wool, but realized that I would need more yarn. I decided to add different colours of wool, but was unable to purchase my original brand. I wanted to switch to an acrylic yarn with 2 strands (the gauge was the same for both wool and acrylic). I wanted to know if the knitting would drape the same way so it would look the same throughout the knitted shawl. I haven't switched colours as yet. I thought I would check with the "expert" before moving forward. Will you ever do patterns for the dog and bunny in knitting as well as the crochet versions you have done? I find I am "all thumbs" when I attempt to crochet. Thanks again, Fiber Spider, for all of your tutorial videos, comments, patterns, and for sharing with the cyber world, all of your creative talents. You are one in a million! Chris L. from Belle River, Ontario, Canada.

this is perfect for a beginner to pi shawls like me, i'm already on my 4th increase row and loving every second of it thank you so so much fiber spider for showing us how to do this gorgeous shawl, I've seen another shawl that i like by someone else on KZread and their bind off is the one where you cast on an extra 5 then knit the first 4 then knit 2 together then turn the work around and knit the 5 again, so my question is this, would that be a good bind off for the half pi shawl?
