1888? My grandad was 1 year old. Still can't believe I actually knew someone from that far back. I used to get compliments about my hair when I was young. It's not as shiny and silky now. I'll need a fountain of youth pill to hear those compliments again. But I'll bet you continually hear compliments regarding EVERYTHING about you. You are such a wonderfully well-formed woman. If I had a time machine, I would love to travel with you. That was a great movie by the way "The Time Machine" from 1960. Based on the H.G. Wells book. Definitely watch that one if you haven't already. Thank you Diane, for another wonderful video. I really enjoy these. 🥰

The camera angles in general are really nice. -The sound effects. The fact that I could hear horse carriages in the background gave so much ambience. -I really liked when she was numbling while chosing products. It was what gave more tingles. -The ambience. It's the kind of thing you remember when you think about your favorite movies or shows. Maybe you never even noticed until someone recreated it. @cashette foley effects are the post-film added sounds using physical props. Most scenes in movies where you hear things closing, being set down, opened, walking, cooking are all added afterwards. This might be because it's difficult to record sounds without echoes and extra noise, and some sounds don't make the noise that you expect them to. Look into some Foley creation videos. They're really interesting to watch!

My mum was a hairdresser for over 40 years. This brings back memories of being in her shop as a child and when friends would come to the house to get their hair done. The sounds and smell of shampoo and perm solution. The black towels for when colour was being applied. The various curlers, clips and the stacks of small squares of paper.

Just goes to show that perhaps some fashion styles never go out of style. Personally, if there was one word to describe the Victorian or Edwardian era, it would be, "class." Because my favorite movie set back then was actually the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes movies.
