absolutely shocking. for the North Korean workers.in the gulag of Russia.and by there own government. in these days of 2020.most people don't know of these camps that these workers have to hand there passports over . wages r poor .and most of their Labour monetary wages goes back to there government. Putin knows this but does nothing about these poor folk. working under these harsh conditions. can't think for themselves. to do anything all ruled by there Korean party politics. so so sad in this day and age.

There's a difference. For Russians the gulags were a terrible punishment, full of misery, deprivation, starvation and death. For the North Koreans it's a working vacation.

    1. Siberia is a big place. It wasn't all one big gulag. Mostly it's vast expanses of beautiful wilderness. 2. Most forced labor camps were in the north-west part of Russia, not Siberia. I think 'Siberia' became a euphemism suggesting isolation and removal, rather than forced labor, because there was plenty of that in the western part of the country. A google image search will give you maps. I'd post a url, but it gets filtered by youtube.

It is probably better than living in NK. And anyone saying G-Bay is a gulag is just nuts. The people in G-Bay are not working which happens in gulags. No deplorable conditions. We even give those people their turkish toilets!! We care that they are that comfortable! Go to one of their prisons and find out what a true gulag is like.

Radu. Do a google search. In the Czech republic they are mainly seamstresses and I also read an article they work in the food processing industry in Romania and Poland. They work for virtually nothing. It's rarely mentioned but it's the old immigrant worker thing.

The sick fact is, these "slaves" are the middle class of North Korea. They already enjoy a half-way decent lifestyle in their capital. They don't need extreme supervision because if they escaped, their family would be killed or thrown into a labor camp for life. The average North Korean citizen would never be allowed to leave the country, even under guard.

Transhuman ... yes, you are correct in your first statement. But where has it actually worked ie benefited, and lasted? My 2nd hand experience of it, is that it was through the point of a gun. The Catch-22 ... if you went with it, you starved; if you resisted, you were shot. There is a huge gulf between accepting it willingly, and not accepting it. The Amish in the USA seem to be of the very few where it has worked ... sort of; but observe how they are held back by their rules(ers).

What does democracy have to do with capitalism? A "capitalist" contract would see them as an expense to be minimized. If you mean a truly democratic North Korea, let us hope for that day. But democracy has been capitalism's worst enemy on occasion. They might vote for minimum wages and safer working conditions! Stalin forbid!

@WolfytheWolf5667 I'm a skeptic, but I'm not so close-minded as to dismiss you outright (because I know what government, any government, is capable of). However, for such accusations as these, you've got to provide documentation. Links, references, books, or other sources to corroborate your claims.

@ChannelingusXIVC As long as there have been Governments men have been held as barter between them or exploitation. This is age old and in the U.S. the Personel Recovery Agency has noted the thousands upon thousands of remains they are tracking from different wars they negotiate for their remains with other Governments. If men are used for barter or exploitation it stands to reason that Governments are aware and there know where to start looking for their remains.

Born in '86 only to learn at my earliest age the realities of life and death. I don't know what was shown here during that 2nd revolution but I grew up dodging sniper fire on the order of the Kremlin. Gov will learn to fear the people, we're not slaves and am proud to serve but as a soldier not a meat bag.

In fact you cannot because capitalism is in conflict with basic philosophy of communism. China is communist country only on paper (something like North Korea). China is too far from communism to even be some distant flavor of communism. Brutal capitalism cannot go with communism. i don't know how you got conclusion that i don't know what each term mean ?

They made me a very efficient killer and a self sufficient man,all the harships I have endured would have killed a lesser man,but serve as a reminder for me that regardless of how much the body hurts,or is damaged the mind can overcome this adversity. In addition I have studied and learned the truth about who the real enemy is,and its not someone wearing a turban, rather a red power tie and a dark suit and makes foreign policy, deciding on who dies or not!!!
