    I'd be willing to bet that Bill and Adam Jones have a mutual appreciation for each other's work

    the Silverburst looks almost to much like Adam Jone's, the burst is almost dirtied to a bronze, its such a great looking piece

    +Jack Towers I was lucky enough to inherit one.. My grandfather bought it new for my dad on his 18th birthday. It's a 81. Funny thing is it hasn't turned green as much as AJ's and Bill's. I guess that's because it has lived in a case most of its life.

    I saw them live with Clutch and COC. Bill had the most awesome custom explorer I’d ever seen. Toggle was moved in place of an individual pickup volume control(probably one knob for both pickups) I’m sure it had way more internal custom features I couldn’t see, or even would know what they were unless someone told me. Anyway the Explorer was awesome and you KNOW he was on point as well. The sound was “cd clear” without simply sounding like the cd They were amazing live.

    I read a lot of negative comments on Norlin Era Gibsons but many, many great bands play this guitars. Almost all guitars of Bill are from the late 70s and begin 80s, but als Tool, Randy Rhoads etc etc

    Even though it was Gibson who fucked up Bills guitars, I find it kinda sad that he isn't endoressed by Gibson anymore. Love the Helcion

    Ohh a lot of things, failing correct specs, not shipping with the right tuning, chambering the instruement even though he precisely asked not to chamber it at all. Terrible communication on Gibsons side. No wonder he switched to ESP, seems that the people there are very nice and willing to work with their artists. Gibson is losing quite a few artists lately, we'll see where this goes. Their lastest guitar line which costs 5 grand and has awfully shitty specs is just another step in a wrong direction. I doubt they will survive any longer if they continue the way they do now.

    Look at this: www.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2018/Custom/Les-Paul-Custom-Chambered-Blackout.aspx#LPCPSL11071 I mean come on... what the fuck Gibson? Get your shit together finally. Everything they've invented was a disaster, like the robot guitar.

    When he says "D standard tuning", is he referring to Drop D?

  • @Malstrom100

    @Malstrom100

    8 жыл бұрын

    +revolutionday1 No. D standard is D standard, and Drop D is essentially E standard with the lowest E dropped to D.

  • @revolutionday1

    @revolutionday1

    Kapetan Kolja Yeah, I'm well-acquainted with Drop D. So, "D Standard" would be DGCFAD, a.k.a. a whole step down, or "early Motley Crue tuning"?

  • @Malstrom100

  • @damionchrist

    @damionchrist

    revolutionday1 No, not "Drop D" as in just only dropping the D string by itself. Bill's referring to "D Standard" tuning as in dropping all the strings down a full step.
