The Guiana Dolphin Project is an initiative of Cananéia Institute Research (IPeC) and aims the knowledge and conservation of this species. The activities have begun in the '80s in the Cananéia region, southern seaside of the State of São Paulo.
Throwout these years we developed several numbers of undergraduate studies, master's dissertations, and doctoral thesis with the support of IPeC and different educational and research institutions from Brazil and abroad.
Beyond the scientific research, the team projects promote environmental educational activities, awareness, and local culture valorization.
