The Guess Method to Solve Every Physics Problem (Easy)

Mathematically solving problems is a large part in understanding physics. In this video I am going to teach you a process that will help you solve many physics problems without even knowing physics. Well, maybe a very small amount of physics. Nonetheless, the process will help you solve or, at the least, get start solving physics problems. The method is called the G.U.E.S.S. method. It involves taking the GIVEN information in a question, finding the UNKNOWN variable, apply this information to the correct EQUATION, SUBSTITUTE your given information with the variables in the equation, and SOLVE for the unknown variable.

Hello proffesor! Thank you so much for helping me, Im currently in College and my current educator does not really teach us very well. Just independent learning and if you ask a question from the text book he gets mad and makes you feel very dumb. This makes me feel confidence in the year 😸🤘

can you use this method for other kinds of physics problems??

sometimes the student should search for the idea to solve a problem before that; he had to understand the problem first and it's purpose so he could think about the idea behind that problem and then he could be able to use the unknown and the givens in order to solve the problem and that's what resoning means

So i tried the question a different way first and i thought it would work but for some reason it does not? I do wonder why it did not work i I first used the Vf = Vo + at and solved for TIME. Then once i had TIME i just used the DELTA X = (Vo+Vf)/2 * t i inputteed the time i got from the first equation it logically should give me the correct answer but for some reason it was wrong. Why was it wrong? What is wrong with this way?

Ok so i tried it with the other equation after finding TIME. I then used the DELTA X = Vo t + 1/2 a t^2 after finding time with the first equation. I then inputted the values and got 531.557 m which was pretty close to the 533 you got in this video

isnt that the velocity squared though? didnt you need to find the Square root of 533.3?

Common misunderstanding. We are solving for the change in position. Not the velocity.
