This is really doom and gloom my guy! I think a lot of the points are a bit stale and the game has shown promise as of late. They made some launch mistakes but PD listened to the community and has taken steps to improve. Just like GT Sport, the SDLC is an iterative process of deploying a minimally viable product and then making improvements over time to get it to end state. This is no different than it was with Sport, it’s just the user base has grown a bit since then so there are more people now who aren’t aware of how PD iterates.

@@GTJesse but what's stopping pd from stabilising the lobbies? The features are already there, not asking anything new, the lags started exactly a month ago from the update they did at the end of May.

@@Coffeeracershahbazz I’m not there so I can only speculate, but my guess would be resources and priorities. I’m sure they’re aware and I’m sure it’s on a list to get done. Maybe now that this update is release they can shift focus to online stabilization.

I think we need to stop supporting large corporations who focus on micro transactions. In an era with sim racing there is honestly no reason to play Gran Turismo. None.

What made the economy system work for Gran Turismo up to GT6, was the fact that you could sell cars that you won from events. It stinks seeing cars in your garage you never know you're ever going to drive just using up space in your garage when you need money to focus on things you *want* to buy. It really is a pain.

Absolutely right. I remember grinding certain races or championships that would give an expensive prize car, which you could then sell for credits. It didn't even feel like a "grind" because you could experiment with trying different cars for the races you were repeating. In GT7 there are no prize cars for completing championships.. and even if there were, we can't sell them. Not to mention the one time only prize credits and prize cars for completing the missions, which completely kills any potential for replayability. So many cars in the legend garage feel completely out of reach. I can't ever see myself having 20 million for something like the Ferrari GTO. It blows my mind that after 25 years PD seem utterly clueless about how to keep players happy and playing the game.

@@wurble it's just something we have to get past. In former games, I would get mad when people found ways to cheat the credit system. You can't really blame them this time around though. I understand that PD wants us to learn about, appreciate how iconic these prize cars are, but don't force them upon us. It makes me not want to drive them even more :(

My biggest disappointment is the always online requirement. It's one of the top 3 worst features of modern games.

Not to mention i should be able to play this game 10-15yrs from now without having to worry about whether or not the game is obsolete. We're basically renting these games.

How’s that a big issue? I know server were down for a couple of days months ago, but that’s it. If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t even know about the always online, it’s not a feature that affects directly you’re gameplay

For me, one of the biggest problems is that the SP is structured around GT Caffe missions rather than classical GT mode from earlier games

No qualifying is lame, economy needs a sincere revamp, and selling cars needs to be added.

That's what I'm saying, some people have selective memory. GT has always been a grind and that's what a lot of people loved about it, especially compared to other racing games like forza. I guarantee you if it were easier to get credits, people would say it's too easy and get bored within a month.

Eh, I've been a loyal GT fan since GT1, the grind isn't the main issue for me. Lying about selling your cars and DRM are some of the biggest Nopes for me. Polyphony got greedy and are modeling their game after other greedy game companies. I wouldn't pay half price for it. Will be the first GT I don't buy. Not sure why you focus on the grind complaints. Did you forget about the real issues, or are you ignoring them for some odd reason?

I'm quite the opposite with GT7 right now. I feel like over the last few updates, things have really started to improve. They added the Suzuki Escudo in the most recent update, which is arguably the most iconic car in the entire series. Racing online feels enjoyable, and there aren't many instances of game-breaking bugs. I'm still playing the game daily, collecting new cars and doing races both online and offline.

Same! I’m glad people are requesting changes but to call it severe is not the case. Economy is the same as previous GT games, if you play enough the game rewards you pretty well. You’re not going to get all the cars or legendary cars but they want you to seem rare items. I can win a 10 lap GT3 race in less than an hour and get 200k or 300k for clean race. The best thing is the campaign keeps getting added and more cars and tracks keep coming. Selling of cars is still coming as well.

Tbh microtransactions were introduced in GT6, but that game had the seasonal events wich basically made them almost useless, as you could win 500k+ credits depending on the event and the daily credit multiplier (where each day you play, you get 2x 3x, up to 5x credits)

I miss those days of GT1-GT4 that you complete events and championships and be rewarded with cars that are cool or more like "hidden" instead of making almost everything available for purchase. Like i wish there's a special event in GT7 that when you complete it, you would be rewarded a shingeno's AE86 instead of just buying it in used cars dealership.

The first thing I would do is put a hour endurance race on every track in the game and use All the different classes to make things interesting. The game been out 4 months and still no gr 2 events.

Do Not Buy Gt7

An adult version of this game (to eliminate chatty Cathy from butting in during your circuit experience or license test) would be one step closer to a sim & improving the AI to keep them from moving all the way across the track to hit you would go a long way towards game enjoyment

Would be nice to have standing starts, more courses, more endurance options, and even some races with 24+ opponents

GT5 was the last in GT series that I “completed”. Once I moved to PC (netkar, assetto, rFactor 2) I never came back to console driving. Looks like this will unfortunately continue to be the case.

I've been meaning to return to GT7 to finish the campaign and just drive around some cars i want to race, but then i remember how boring the single player races are, how static the AI feels and then there's the prices of said cars which completely turns me off of it.

My biggest disappointment was the menu book system which removes all the gt concept of the game. I dont need someone to tell me how should i play Gran Turismo. It also has a lack of tracks such as city tracks (not just Tokyo) but also New York, Seoul, Paris ect which were classics and also snow tracks or brand cups such the ones in GT4

They need to add test driving before you grind for a car you may not like

Yes definitly! I bought so many cars because someone praised them, only to realize they're either total duds or just don't fit my style of driving. Being able to sell cars would alleviate the problem, but knowing Polyphony, we would probably get a 1/10th for what we bought them for, and we wouldn't be able to sell gift cars at all.

Great episode. I appreciate your candidness. I’ve had fun with the game so far. I’ve been with GT since the first iteration. Not a newbie to online racing… this is where my frustration lies. THE PENALTY SYSTEM in SPORT is horrendous. Incurring massive penalties. I was beside myself to find I had 1 minute penalty at the end of a race? I know penalties are subjective, but I would admit to having a dirty race and concede to it if I hit someone unfairly.

I personally dropped off playing this purely because of the grind. License tests were alot of fun trying ti get gold, but it takes for ever to earn money. No benefit to setting the ai on hard. It does get really old starting in last place every time. For a racing simulator. They sure do fail in that aspect. Nothing simulator like about for ever starting in last

GT7 feels to me like it was rushed into production before they ironed out the bugs. The emphasis towards micro transactions certainly annoyed me, and the difficulty accumulating credits to purchase those dream cars. PD seem to have forgotten that we buy these games to enjoy the thrill of driving cars we would otherwise never have the opportunity to enjoy. I'm sure that most GT players would be happy to forgo those silly cartoon people giving us encouragement. I think PD need to focus more on being "THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR" and less on scapes etc.

@@bradleyrivenbark946 Nah it's not. It's more realistic than GT Sport, sounds were slightly improved, tuning parts are back, replay camera improved, it's a pretty long list. Didn't plan on paying full MSRP but it was worth every cent having GT Sport already.

I’m really sick of being unable to use a Japanese car in most European events and vice versa. It’s so frustrating and makes the grind even more laborious. We need more events which are open to various makes and types of car. Oh…..and I’d like to be able to sell unwanted cars!!!

Example of the PP manipulation: Watkins Glenn this mornings daily race... 2006 ZR-1 sets pole at 1:11:00 the closest competitor was 1:27:00. Well that could be possible however in a max 500 PP the lowest possible Stock of this ZR-1 car is more than 600 PP... it can't go lower unless there is so.e sort of hack

@@Tacko14 I've found that the best way to counter these cars with high base PP is to turn your car into a weapon on the first corner you catch up with them, even with the penalty if you can send them into the grass far enough from the track it gives enough time to create a gap that last the rest of the race

They need to fix/add to the Multiplayer lobby features, things like. 1. Filters for drivetrains 2. Filters for the standard cars/tuner cars 3. Auto Start clock 4. Ability to save the lobby settings . Why can't it be like how GT6 was, is so simple, implement those above mentioned suggestions and that'll be a step in the right direction. Getting a bit fatigued with this game. Please have a segment on this and hopefully they'll listen.

I honestly miss the simple days of GT2, 3 and 4. Where we had quantity over quality. I get people want nice games in HD, but at the end of the day, this is a racing game. While currency is important, so is the amount of cars and tracks available. GT7 just feels like a single player GT Sport with a few things added. It definitely feels rushed. And don’t get me started on having to be connected to the internet to play the single player campaign. Great video though! It’s important we as fans make our voices heard! I’ll always love Gran Turismo as a series, but the fans deserve better!

The career races in GT7 are better though, if tweaked. Pit times are way too long, but a nice feature if done right. GT Sport has very few races requiring pit stops, and all 1hr races. GT7 has lots, including smaller races, but pit times need to be shorter by a lot. And races are virtually impossible without upgrades.

They will never TOP gt4. That's the best game ever!!!

And they still didn’t fixed the 2 player-mode. Player 1 is drives always better so you can’t play it with your friends. That’s why I always have to play the 2 player-mode on GT Sport. I mean, they did it right in GT Sport,why don’t they just do the same in gt7, this is just so stupid

Never thought i'd say this but I actually deleted Gt7, reasons were, poor prizes, poorly priced cars, fixed roulette tickets, a.i in single player, while racing in single player, it appears to me that the brakes dont work aswel and the grip levels drop to daft levels as soon as you overtake 2nd place. The fact that every single race is a back of the pack fight, every single time. PD have sold out, engineering this game to cheat (imo) and virtually forcing you to use micro transactions. Roll on Forza Motorsport release.

You just have to upgrade them to make them competitive. But still a pain. You should be able to use a number of stock vehicles and be competitive. But a big reason is pit times. In a 10 lap race, you have to pit for 1 minute, and it takes 8x as long as it should to get to your spot. And by then you lost all progress.

Why you don't buy a game close to release...

My main gripe is with the A.I.'s level of brake checking which is very unfair in crucial instances, it's like the A.I. has been programmed to get even nastier when you're nearing the finish. Also starting lap timed races at the back of the grid is very unfair, there needs to be a qualifying session before that needs to be equally balanced against the A.I. competition.

Wish I had read these reviews before I got the game. Great graphics and all but there's so much wrong with it that it's not as enjoyable as GT Sport. The PP crap is annoying and to do a rolling start and you notice the front of the pack is half way around the track. What race starts like that? I'm going to see what else is out there.

GT7 being such a balls up, it made moving on from making KZread videos a lot easier

…just posting my list of what sucks in GT7 (yeah, much of this has already been listed here- just adding my take to this list). Here’s my list (worst issues listed first): - offline mode cripples usability of the game (really don’t know why PD thought this was a good deal for players) - roulette ‘gambling game’ award system is a complete insult to their paying customers (awarding parts for cars I don’t even own, and low-ball 10k credits?) - ridiculous prices for many in-game cars is nothing like reality in my opinion (certainly not for some cars) - entering track Meeting Rooms is unreliable at best (still), game throws an error or simply locks up - game doesn’t return you to your original search results screen after viewing any of the search results (you must reenter your search criteria every time) - game AI drivers insist (in some cases) on turning into you (hard) during high speed turns, taking you completely offline and causing you to spin out of control (pretty bad if you’re on lap 8 in a 10-lap race) Finally, players (like me) just want a fair shake- they want to feel valued and feel like they’re getting a polished finished product for their money. The self-serving (meaning serving PD, certainly not serving me) roulette system is a great example of not doing everything it could to reward players. And some of what I listed above are great examples of a racing sim that could’ve been more polished at release. Have I enjoyed GT7- you bet… could it have been a better experience for me and so many other players- you bet.

It’s frustrating doing the time trails and miss the gold by .005 seconds, 🤦🏻‍♂️ and doing it over n over n still can’t beat it by those micro seconds, especially when the the time trails bring u a lot of money

I'm somewhat new to GT, started on Sport, fell in love, bought GT7 day one, 170 hours in and haven't been unhappy at any moment. The cars you get on the Licenses and Missions, plus the money you get for completing the Divine Comedy Missions plus every Circuit Experience in the game has been enough to grant me almost 200 cars, and lots of legendaries as well, I even have the trophy. It seems that people want to be gifted everything via a Battle Pass or something like that. I have every single car I wanted, I reckon that now that the Circuit Experiences are done, I'm going to have to grind events to buy the most expensive legendaries, but that's ok because that's the joke, there's a collection that have legendary cars that are going to be hard to obtain, think of the cars as Pokemon for example jajaja. The only thing is that Sport Mode definitely needs way better rewards, right now I think Sport is just for fun or for the 50 races trophy. I think that's my only complaint.

How much money do the cars cost? I mean real money. Microtransactions make sense, as TotalBiscuit (R.I.P) said kids have more time to sink into games, as an adult you have to work, but can use some of the time grinding at real work to buy some cars in GT. But yeah, do not make it a full price game then.

Well you are partially right its not that bad and they definitely brought so much wanted features too.. But for peoples living a work life the amount of grinding is too high and also the game is very weirdly presented much worse than gt5 and gt6.. Its really a mix bag game trying to match the mighty gt4. 😔.

Add to that "only complaint" that the roulette is rigged. If that's to teach children that gambling is bad I like it but in that case offer me an option to skip spinning to 5k every time.

Thank God a voice of reason here. I will add onto this comment that. The circuit experience are difficult. But if your experienced in racing they can take as little as 15 minutes. I take between 15 min to 1 hour. I believe I’m above average but not great. And my bro (who has never played racing games since he was a kid) can also beat them, just takes longer. Usually netting you around 1million average. (This is a one time deal though, can’t do it multiple times)

they need to implement the selling option. I have a ton of cars won or gifted that I'm never going to use, and could use the credits....

I just wish I could change cars at any time instead if going back to the garage or to time trial. Dirt tracks our even more annoying cause there is no.option to change to dirt tires in the road car without going all the way back to garage

I recently made the jump from comsole to PC only been sim racing for like 8 months. And Sim racing games have totally wom me over!! ACC, and iracing which is expensive if you do all types of racing i will admit. But i just focus on road racing gt3 so its not too insane

I recently gave up this game for ACC. Couldn't be happier. I may come back to this game if they ever come to their senses and see what to do right

I'm honestly quite bored with GT7. I have the full DD Pro rig and half wish I hadn't bothered. Most things seem to be at the polar ends of the difficulty level. Car purchase is a total lottery unless you're adept at tuning. Stock cars seem unable to match the lead car on the track. Every other update seems to wreck the physics so you have to relearn how to drive the car again. Gold laps on the circuit experience seem to be aimed at ESport professionals. Then the game went through a phase where the car decals kept getting wiped off. That's my experience at least... It just feels like more effort than it's worth most days. But it definitely NEEDS a qualifying session adding.

Sounds like someone sucks for having a DD pro rig LMAO… this game rewards people who understand racing. My best friend just picked up this game after not playing a racing game since a kid. I taught him the basics of racing and he is able to gold the circuit experiences… using a ps4 controller. “Circuit experience for esports drivers” no they aren’t lol. Also bruh what? The stock cars do fine in the campaign races. Even if they don’t (skill issue) just get some sport softs and some quick HP upgrades with better brakes and suspension and boom that car will be leagues better than anything the AI races can throw at you. Don’t even have to tune. And if for some reason you have to tune. 2 seconds *maybe* max improvement. Sounds like my guy got a serious case of skill issue. 🥺 That decal bug sounds like a nightmare though. I hope they have fixed that.

As the GT7 concept, is now. The game is to collect all the cars. But it's a driving simulator.... there's no racing to do with 90% of the lower tiers of cars. So just to collect, to collect!!! Why. Ohh money, you need a LOT of 'em. And collectors point stop at 50... As soon as you get into Group 4 and Groupe 3 racing, you have no interest in "normal" cars anymore, not even hyper cars, since they will not be allowed in any races you need to do. We need more race series, for normal non race cars.

It does feel rushed. It wouldnt be the first Gran Turismo they did this to. I think A-Spec for ps4 was just GT 3 or 4. Nothing improved or changed.

Polyphony is doing this kind of "update - hoping - disappointment" thing since gt6. Everyone was hoping for tracks, cars or options to sell cars, better ai or better online systems, bop's or other updates, and gets disappointed nearly every time. Polyphony also announced f. e. vision cars of Porsche, Nike and others, and it was delayed, maybe because of gt7 coming up as the next title. so, everyone moaning now should be clear that it has been like that ever since they started selling incomplete titles with the option of update packages. there might be some cool content added, but your big hopes will be disappointed in the most cases.

The last update included a track and cars... I don't know how this game is unenjoyable? It's easy to earn credits through circuit expirence, various races that pay 600,000+ per race. The amount of time it takes to implement new cars, tracks, and other various thing take a lot of time due to cross play and the new gen console. It's not like we're playing on a PSone or ps2 or 3 anymore.

The 3 complaints I have so far is where did the test drive option go? Why can’t I race my own cars in multiplayer? And the regulations drive me nuts. There should be an auto adjust/upgrade option to make that car fit that race.

I do play daily. I liked sport mode in Sport. But I often feel like there isn't a lot of fun to be had in GT7. I have encountered big issues with the game, my wheel suddenly losses force feedback, the force feedback is not as good as it was in GT Sport, and it just disconnects entirely sometimes. That being said, I do like the game, but the mindless grind is quite harsh. I do the Sardegna race with a Gr.2 car, and it's easy money. But I rather have hard, exciting races that have high rewards instead of a pretty mindless 15 lap race. Also the "catch the leader, who has 20 seconds on you when you start, in the exact same car that you have" races are just awful. You have to be over 2 seconds per lap faster than the fastest AI to do it, while managing to use less fuel, and possibly less tires to make your pitstop quicker. And you have to do all that without any tiny little mistake, because any small mistake means that your race is basically over. In the hardest difficulty mode, those races are almost impossible, and I find myself trying weird strategies to try to beat them. That Gr.1 race in Daytona comes to mind. The worst part of that Daytona race was the bus stop chicane. Every AI was completely cutting the chicane, and if you tried to follow their exact line through it, you would get an immediate 0.5s penalty for corner cutting.

I've moved on to ACC, Iracing and Kartsim, haven't looked back. Gt7 has the best wheel to wheel due to the easy going nature but the bugs, the driving standards and the general state of the game right now it's not enjoyable for me or worth my time

I'm sort of a GT fanboi, but I still put in more time with AC. AC will never surpass the 10s of thousands of hours I've put into Gran Turismo through the years though. I'll always have a copy of GT4 and every title after that.

Yep as soon as you add microtransactions the devs priority becomes 'how do we con players into opening their wallets' NOT 'how do we make this game fun and engaging for the player base'. Good video. I was waiting for this game for years and now I haven't bothered to load it up in over a month. Just grindy crap (chase the rabbit) races. Improve the rewards for custom races and u might get me back into the game. I will NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS BUY IN GAME CURRENCY!!! HOWEVER make the game fun and engaging with purpose to keep playing in an interesting manner. Then yeah I will buy a DLC with a bunch of extra cars. They killed the format of the game by adding in game currency u can purchase with real money. Corrupts the entire design process every time.

Its pretty easy to earn credits. I'm enjoying the game, I think playing with a controller could make the game dull though. Maybe try assetto Corsa out.

Microtransactions are for the impatient gamer or the rich gamer which I’m fine with. The in game reward system and currency lets you get many cars including a lot of gt3 cars which you need for most races online. On the flip side, you never have to pay for additional content. Since launch they added 9 cars, a new track, and a lot of other minor improvements for free. This will be continued to be supported like this for years. Companies sell dlc packs for cars in which you may just want one. Sim racers on PC have monthly memberships, or you have no choice but to buy every car you want race. Actually, the funny thing with GT7 is the Microtransactions costs are so high there is much more incentive to earn credits in playing the actual game.

Never had a problem with microtransactions as ling as you can do everything in game regardless the only people i know who are upset by microtransactions are the people who spend their whole paycheck on them and cant pay their bills or a child that cant afford it

@@maxminy5634 actually economy sucks. You have to grind in order to upgrade cars and make them competitive. And making enough money to buy legendaries in the timeframes given is difficult for lots of people who work.

The only issue I have is the rolling start and chase for first, and then once you pass a car they pretty much give up. I get I can down tune my car and yes it makes it more of a challenge but the ai literally sandbags after you pass them like what?????!

At this point I usually just play it once a week for about half an hour. I refuse to spend money on MTX and playing online was never something that interested me in the least. To me it just feels... souless? Sure you still spent hours grinding away in GT2 or GT4 at places like Tahiti Road or ElCapitan. But for some reason in those games it felt so much more fun and satisfying.

There is so much in GT7 that is absolutely genius. That being said there is a couple glaring issues, some of which are only truly visible with hundreds of hours and a keen eye. Here is a small list: -Since the LM 700PP race and a couple others... MTX not a big issue by comparison. It's still stupid, but you can earn credits now. -Still can't sell cars -Lobby stability is poor with PS4/PS5 crossover. -Lobby options are still limited. -You can add 3 search tags to liveries/pics/etc.... but can only use 1 to search for them. -Solo races are a bit limited/stale. (Could use a Qualify option, and considerably more races) -The Roulette is pretty frustrating. Roulette Ideas: - 5 Selections manually selected with current anomyinity of parts (carbon driveshaft, but for what?) - Invitations should be 1 and 2 Star only. You can unlock, but you still have to spend millions... - 2k and 5k and 10k credits rewards should be abolished. There is no race that is that cheap for 26 miles. Thus should not be in any form of Daily Reward. - Purchasable car parts should be removed from the Roulette. Part of the reason the "RNG" is so dissapointing. - 30k reward should be 1 thru 3 Star only. Minimum 100k cred for 4 Star + - Remove BMW i3 from Roulette, noone wants to win that. Noone. - Safety Cars should be 1 thru 3 Star. Anything over 4 Star should be well over 100k value for vehicle. If there was a Tier for special parts I'd have it as follows (so as tiers go up more are included, and this also makes sense in terms of "irl" leveling): 1 Star - High Lift Cam S 2 Star = Bore Up S/ Stroke Up S 3 Star = Carbon Drive Shafts / Ti Pistons+ConRods 4 Star = Ultra Supercharger / Ultra TurboCharger / Engines 5 Star = Nitrous / Weight Reduction 5 6 Star = All As for Tier Values of Credits: 30k = 1-3 Star 100k = 2-4 Star 500k = 3-5 Star 1M = 4-6 Star

Last GT I played was GT3 and was in love with the game at that time. Since I have been a Forza Motorsport fan boy and have also been playing Asseta Corsa Compitzione. Sad to see GT7 getting horrible reviews. Definitely a historical title.

Always having a rolling start is honestly my biggest gripe. Yeah the payouts could be better and the roulette tickets could suck less, but constantly playing catchup to 1st place is extremely annoying. And more often than not, first place is usually OP and will gain a massive lead. I usually play on normal, but i even bumped it down to easy, and there was no difference in 1st places lead

The Good News is that Polyphony seems to listen to all the back lash. But .... it's important that they don't take too much time to change the game to an acceptable level. Time will tell.

The complaints about the economy truly is overblown. I think there's this assumption that the goal is buying and modding every car to the max. Of course that will take a lot of money. But maybe, just maybe the point is to make a decision about your car of choice that you will use and win races. I play on hard, and I've finished most of them with 1st place and I've only paid for 4 cars and I have several million Cr banked. Owning the top level collector cars is supposed to be hard. Why can't it be a special thing to have that 14M Porsche? In real life choices have to be made about where to spend money, the same is here, not everyone will have everything. If you're grinding for credits thinking the idea is to get every car you've missed the point. Some complaints like not being able to sell cars is probably valid and probably the desire to do that wasn't thoroughly considered at development. The lottery tickets truly are discouraging, but I think the impression the player base has about it's purpose is not what was intended, and I think it was miscommunicated big time, and not implemented very well.

I’m in the same boat as you m8… I have millions, so much I don’t know how to spend it. Also I’m seeing a surprising lack of people talking about circuit experience. Easiest way to make money if your decent at racing already.

Only reason I have a Playstation was Gran Tourismo.... Must sadly say, I dont have a reason to own a Playstation any longer. Thanks, GT7, now I can safe my money for other stuff....

I think it will be cool before you buy a car there should be a test drive option where you can go a few laps around a track and see how you like it

Yep, that’s me. I wouldn’t mind grinding for low rewards if there was more wheat to grind, but we’re doing the same races over and over again. Also, there are some cars being labeled as racecars that you can’t use in career mode anywhere (R8 gordini, fugu, nova and such). Well, that’s not new. But why are they featured then? I’ve spent credits on them so I’d like to use them now, thank you very much

This is my first GT, so I have no metric of comparison but what I can say is that I feel the penalty system is flawed. Sometimes you get highly questionable penalties, other times people can drive you right off the track without any recourse. I guess the problem for me is consistency

Try gt5 and gt6. They're not online anymore but the physics and earning potential is better by a long shot

My limited time to enjoy a sim I'd rather spend my time in iRacing or ACC I've loved the GT series since the original but GT7 has put me off.

What Companies fail to realize is fun factor and grinding for nothing doesn't work. I would support a good game by buying something but only if that game doesn't force it on you and makes quality updates like tracks and events and cars . Their financial model for this game is predatory and I quit because they made the cars to much to own and YES Developers I can calculate and am not completely stupid.

My biggest complaint about the game is the grip levels of tires/ physics. Now the smaller complaint is the pp system they need to get rid having suspension and transmission part of the equation. Make it more power to weight, aero and tires.

U had enough doesnt mean everyone did. We just need some more time trails with other cars and tracks and more online fun thing and then u have enough to do. Gt7 should be a casual fun racing game collecting and having fun. NOT A COPY OF GT SPORT THAT WAS THE WORST GT EVER

I purchased the 5 version of the game for my ps4 pro which included free digital upgrade to ps5. 4 version looked good enough to satisfy while waiting for a chance to upgrade consoles.

honestly, you're setting yourself up for a disappointment with it. Just buy it now for PS4 and enjoy it, it's not a wildly massive jump on from GT Sport I don't think (I have a PS5 and also use a 1080ti PC for sim rig stuff)

I’ve done 7 circuit experience and their variants. I have collected 10 mil (roughly, I honestly think it’s more I’ll be generous) I have almost every car in the game I want (minus legend cars) I’m not even half way through the cafe… This has made it so buying cars or upgrading a car is a non-issue. There is over 30 tracks. At least 30 million minimum. Add in the variants and we’re approaching 50 million for just track experience.

I have only played it for a bit on my brothers ps5. What i noticed is that the sound of the cars is far away from accurate and they use the same transmission noises like in every car. The biggest pain is the sound of the Porsche 911 RSR. In rl this car roars you to death. ACC for example has like the best and most accurate sound out there. The new Porsche Cup sounds different than the RSR but in ACC you get an idea of how the RSR would sound and GT7 is far away from that.

I was excited for this game, but it kind of seems like it’s designed to make you make as many in game purchases as possible and I gotta family, I can’t buy an 80$ game then continue spending money in game

I'm loving GT7 right now, I'm relearning everything since moving from controller to wheel, and it's just so satisfying getting it right, feeling the car's weight transfer, etc. All these money problems I could never understand, I only drive a few cheap cars. My only complaints are: A lot of tracks dont have the amazing rain system; engine swaps were far too rare for no reason; online championships between ps4 and ps5 are ruined by lag; BOP is still unbalanced for MR vs FR(although last patch did address it a bit); no brake bias in BOP races; and no online endurance daily races. Great game overall, could not be happier.

I disagree with your first point: the economy of GT7. You said we had decent payouts in the beginning of the game (the highest paid event was at 90K Cr. from a little over 3 minute event) and we don't have that anymore. Well you are 100% wrong. The payouts are actually better now than when this game came out (825K Cr. from a 26 minute event). So you use to get not even 30K per minute on release and now you get over 31K per minute and I'm not even mentioning the less menu time from a longer race. So the economy in better than it was on release. Plus you didn't have the Circuit Experience on release either. I got both the McLaren F1 and the Porsche 917K when the economy was at its worst, only making under 20K per minute when racing. Even though they both took over 40 hours together, they were still more than obtainable for me so I don't want to hear how bad the economy of GT is now when previous GT games had it worse, I heard nobody complain about them.

Regarding the economy aspect: try circuit experience. Each track awards at least a million for getting all golds, which shouldnt take more than an hour for most tracks

Except they put you on the shittiest tires to make every sector a frustrating trial and error slog. I remember getting all gold for every circuit in GT sport, but good god I think the only one I’ve completed in GT7 is the short oval track in which you just slide the entire time because they put you in a 60’s corvette on…..comfort mediums???? Like cmon now. The R8 with shit tires they give you on the deep forest raceway is straight up undrivable

there is literally a trophy to buy the same car 10 times - like why? Especially stupid when you can't sell cars, the grind for credits is slow and the formulaic (beat the pack from last) format is dull and repetitive. I love GT and have bought every game since GT2 (including the signature edition of GT5) but this was such a disappointing shift for the franchise for fans.

I'm so tempted to buy it because I'm thirsty for a racing game but this one's economy keeps me away.

As somebody who's played GT right from the very beginning I can tell you that the G in GT stands for "Grind" - it always has done. Back in '97 it was new, fresh, and looked better than anything seen before on the PS1 so the grind was tolerable, enjoyable even. For the next few versions PD kept the series ahead of the game with stunning visuals, but the format aged like milk as other comparable sims with a more realistic and less contrived gameplay loop came to the market. GT is now really about style over substance, and the guys at PD have totally failed to understand what people actually want in a racing sim.

They also modeled GT7 after other scummy games that focus your gameplay on monitization. The always online crud is also to focus on optimizing monitization. They lied about being able to sell cars as well. I have played all of them since ps1. This will be the first I may never play.

Do the track experiences and the licenses, they give good money. Or just race online a lot 💟

If GT7 want to be all about real racing. Why isn’t there free practice and qualifying before a race. Make the races feel like real races.

They need to fix the rally chase cam, and also we need car selection in the single race. I'm tired of going home to change cars. Also, the money is a big problem. I generally agree with most of the videos about the game's problems.

Them roulette will make you wanna throw the game away!

If they literally added a 1 hour Daytona gr.3 and even gr.1 along with nurburgring, Bathurst with a million or so payout with some variety in a.i. vehicles (I've seen the same opponents DOZENS of times in the spa race, le Mans 30 min. And grinding the credits is getting OLD). To me they seem like simple additions and would at least stop the bleeding with countless other changes to heal the wound and ultimately make things whole again but like the video said we just wait and wait and wait and have no clue when or if any changes come. I will give credit that the Watkins Glen track was a pleasant addition with a 200k payout (but again the SAME opponents ugh) I'm wanting for more!

The engine glitch is saving the game at the moment

The rolling starts are incredibly frustrating on some tracks. The back of the pack could be starting by entering a hairpin turn and the front could be starting at the beginning of a long straight. How can anyone (already with a much slower lap time if they're in the back) even think about working their way forward with such a disadvantage?

I’m at the point where instead of complaining about the game, I’m complaining about everyone else who’s complaining about the game. Most of the arguments against it are so petty, like micro transactions. If you don’t like them, simply don’t buy them. It’s not that difficult. This game’s life cycle will be at least 4 years, that’s plenty of time to collect every car. The only thing different is they push car collection this time around, which adds a whole lot more to the grind. If it wasn’t an aspect the game would be incredibly short.

meh, this argument is kinda crazy. Just because the game is "bound" (an estimative) to have such a big lifespan doesn't mean that the time it takes to grind for something should be equivalent. You just gotta remember that no racing game can be 100/0 on a spectrum of simulation/arcade. What I mean by that is that every game has to have its parcel of "arcadiness". It would literally take 4 years of grind to collect all high end cars, why would anyone want that. Maybe it was too easy in GT4 where you'd farm for like 2 hours the german dt cup until you could buy the 4.5m top cars, I don't think it's that hard to figure out a middle ground.

@@Wiiillllson151 We as consumers have to stop paying full price for games that aren't complete until years down the line. Kaz hyped this game up to be a proper return to form. I believe his words were (as translated) "The most complete GT experience ever". I am one of the people that paid 90 dollars for the anniversary edition believing his bullshit. At launch it was a solid 40 dollar value at best. To charge 90 for what won't be a complete experience for years should be a form of criminal fraud, and we shouldn't be bending over backwards to let developers and publishers screw us like this. Disagree with me all you want. I learned a lesson the hard way. I'm never paying full price by buying a game at launch again, and will be especially cautious with Sony going forward as they've announced their commitment to live service bullshit. This is likely going to be my last Gran Turismo as well.

I used to host Lobby racing (gt sport) daily which attracted a large community of fellow racers and participants (friends). That interaction is gone. My expensive simulator set-up is now collecting dust. The daily fun is over. Gt7 host Lobby permissions are non-existent in multi-player. Not allowing a track change is the cruelest of many failures. The multi-player online experience has been crippled. With the release of Gt7, came a disbanded community of daily racing enthusiasts. Perhaps I feel like a hobbyist who has lost his hobby. .

In the time I’ve owned gt7 I’ve actually deleted it 3 times and went back to gt sport. On gt7, the lobby system is horrendous, they removed qualifying, and there’s the issue of connection. When I do a daily race the connection between me and other players is fine sure there might be that one guy but on lobby races everyone is jumping left right and centre, and I thought it was my wifi but on gt sport it was fine

I don’t think this is the biggest issue with the game. Circuit experiences pay out well, usually in the millions and there is one for every track. Nordschleife is 7 million… Then there are the endgame endurance races with a rewards of 1 mil for 1 hour or 500k for 30 mins. I would say that is pretty good. What they need to fix is the handling of some cars, mainly MR cars (although the latest patch improved them a lot) and qol changes like more camera modes and more customizeable hud. Let us remove the wheel, add a virtual mirror, change the placement of hus elementa

Really? This is news to me. GT7 is by far my most played game this year. I love it. I will admit, I don't play online, so I don't know how the online play is. But the cars, the tracks, and how extremely easy it is to get millions of credits in this game are all awesome which makes their very bleak micro transaction system completely irrelevant.

I just played for a couple of days and I'm loving it. I guess the money is an issue if you want to buy the top cars right away... I really liked the music rally, I just wish they add songs and different tracks every week...

I unlocked Blue Moon Bay speedway, WeatherTech raceway Laguna seca, Willow springs international raceway, and Watkins Glen international but there are races or "events" available for those tracks. I can't race to complete Menu Book 14! I can't advance. It's annoying

I like working for a car rather than how forza you have to buy dlc cars with real money or basically get any car you want. I got 90 million in fh5 without trying

When they add sophy the a.i in it will just be legendary, only thing that bothers me is no field of view slider or dash view, and the option to manual swap every car to use the clutch and h pattern with. The clutch could be more realistic too. There is still room for improvement and a lot more content.

But you can use the clutch even now in gt7?!? On side note I agree with FOV option for dash …

@@ouzaitheronin u can only use clutch with cars that have clutch in real life. They need an option to manual swap every car to use clutch and h pattern with every car

@@Sideways_Singh no bud … I will have to check it again … but I think it only works if you buy the manual transmission… Regardless of the car

My biggest complaints are: *I can't sell cars *Roullete ticket spins are crap *Used car dealer lacks major! (Wish it was more like GT4) *Customization leaves more to be desired. With that said I do enjoy playing the game, but man, I thought they would have absolutely nailed it on GT7... visually they did just that.. with quite literally everything else....they didn't.

This is absolutely the most disappointed i have ever been in a racing game up to its release (F1 2022 managed to top it). I own a PS5 specifically so i could play it, and not i am thinking about selling my PS5 entirely. They made us think it was a return to form. Like a GT4.5, but it was basically just GT Sport with some more cars, and a new UI.

We got a bunch of endurance missions not long after release. I can't understand why they are one time payouts, if they were out on the world circuits map instead we would actually have a _bit_ more variety. The constant rolling starts are also annoying.
