Hey Guys ! It's just Barbie from the Greenbrier stopping in to say thank you for such a wonderful review ! I'm 57 years old ( proudly) and I have to say I'm so blessed to work at the Greenbrier and to work with so many talented people here at the Greenbrier. We absolutley love our guest and I must tell you, ..... We have entertained a few stars in the entertainment industry but let me tell you, when my favorite KZread stars came in and I recognized who you were???😮😮 you could've pushed me over with a feather ! Meeting you both in persons was totally a honor. I've followed you for a long time here on YT and when you came in and I walked you both through the restaurant EVERYBODY knew who you were! I was like a kid in a candy store ! You both are such a great asset to our community. I've told news reporters that visit us, that Gatlinburgh/ Sevierville Is the Next best to Heaven on this earth that you're ever gonna find. Such great people and you two are living proof that's it's all true. I'm looking forward as all of us here at GB to serve you in the near future. Happy Birthday Dawn! If I'm being honest, I am totally envious of you two. I'm a local businessman who secretly wishes to live the life that you do. My family and I vacation in Gatlinburg EVERY year and to be able to do what you guys do would be amazing! What a peaceful and simple life doing what you love and doing it well. I applaud you both! My kids always look for you two when we are in Gatlinburg. They would love a photo and an autograph! Keep up the great work you love birds!

Creme Brûlée is my favorite dessert! That’s caramelized sugar on the top.

We felt price wise it was similar to the Peddler. But the service, ambiance, history, views, and fact we didn’t feel herded in and out made this a favorite for us!!!! We will absolutely go again!!!!

Friday Forever you tubers did a review and they both liked it overall

I loved the lighting at the entrance. The restaurant just invites you in. Relaxing atmosphere, table by the window with a peaceful view of the forest. Treated like you were the guest (as you were their guest). This was the perfect place to enjoy a very special occasion. Food looked fabulous!

Creme Brûlée is French for “ burnt cream”. The crunchy “layer “ is caramelized sugar hence the burnt. The macaroon is also a French meringue cookie that is filled. Brûlée is one of my favorite things. Yummy

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant. Aged beef is usually prime or premium beef. Top of the line for beef. The aging gives the beef great tenderness and flavor. Creme Brulee is one of my favorite desserts. It is French and means burnt cream. It is basically a custard. I have had but with both vanilla and chocolate. They then sprinkle sugar on the custard and use a kitchen torch to crystallize the sugar. It gives the dessert that crunchy topping and smooth texture from the custard. Prices were not that bad for the quality of the meal. If you need a place for a special occasion Greenbrier is probably the place to go. Happy Birthday Dawn 🎂

We used to eat there every time we came down. Then it closed. Glad to see it opened again. It's definitely up there. They redid the dining area. Those windows were never like that. That whole wall was just one giant row of windows.

I already was absolutely in love with the flickering flames and it being nestled in the woods, but then saying it was haunted was what definitely sold me before you guys even entered the restaurant!

WOW the Greenbrier Restaurant staff seem very respectful and the food looked awesome. Dawn's outfit was beautiful.

Happy Birthday, Dawn!!! That cream brûlée has a sprinkling of sugar on the top then they torch the sugar to make it melt into a very thin delicate layer that does taste a wee bit like marshmallows. Everything looked great! Another place for our travel bucket list! Thank you both!

Love, Love, Love The Greenbrier! Dinner in the forest, priceless experience and usually easy to get in since it is so nice and hidden. The only spirits I've ever felt there was in booze form, ha!

Happy Late Birthday Dawn! ............ What they are charging is crazy, I could not believe their prices. Steak Dinner $48, I almost passed out. There is no way a family of 5 even on a special occasion can afford that, when we go it's 5 of us in our family, I'm guessing you would have to go float a loan for this place, LOL. When reviewing things you can tell more about the food by eating slowly and small bites so you can detect all the flavors involved but I would rather just eat it normally

Thank you oh so much for finally doing a cast on The Greenbrier. I am so happy that you included how to get there. Im in my 50s now and pride myself on knowing where the better places are to go and eat at when I take a vacation or go somewhere. And I hate to say... until a couple years ago I did not know about The Greenbrier. It's been on my list of places to go but could never find it, now I know why. Thank you again.

Sounds and looks wonderful ! We have just returned from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We had a wonderful time we kept an eye open for you and Dawn but did not see you. It was our first time using a camper we stayed at the Sun outdoors. It was great we plan to try this again! We went up the mountain in the charcoal? I think that is what they called it. It was beautiful. We DID NOT go to the restaurant. Where they did not wait on you and Dawn. We ate at the Smokehouse BarB Que it was fantastic. Service was great, food was better than great, and the service was unbelievable! Everyone was happy and pleasant with excellent service. My son-in-law was very impressed by the price and so was I each meal was approximately $8.50 (the best I remember). We enjoyed the view from the open deck...it was spectacular! I guess you can tell we really enjoyed our trip. We also give the two of you a lot of credit because you are excellent ambassadors for the whole area. Oh we also got slaw dogs at Frank Alan’s it was just outside of the camp grounds. You were correct they were well worth stopping in.

Thanks for reviewing this restaurant. It once was our absolute favorite as we’d been dining there for decades prior to the new ownership. A meal at the Greenbrier was a ‘must’ for our every visit to the Smokies. Formerly, they had incredible steaks, lemon pepper chicken, and stuffed pork tenderloin that was out of this world. The building was rustic and the dining experience was always superb and enhanced with ‘local color.’ Excited that the Greenbrier had reopened, I’d visited their website and felt disappointed with the menu. Fearing the Greenbrier had lost its initial charm, I have hesitated about returning. Looks like they have really made some beautiful modifications to the building. The menu and the prices are not inspiring me to return; however, I am happy to see the Greenbrier open again. Dawn I hope you had a fabulous birthday. It appears you had a wonderful time and enjoyed your meal. I love your videos. Thanks again for this one; it answered all my questions.

Hi Deborah. If you knew the original Greenbrier, you won't like the new one. Like you, the pre-fire restaurant was our favorite place to dine in Gatlinburg. We tried the new place, thinking that it was the same ownership. We quickly found it it was not. The woman in the video was rude, the service was very slow, and the food was tasteless. You're not missing anything by not going to the re-purposed Greenbrier.

The upstairs is nice. Looked like some good food too. Will have to check this place out next time we are down that way.

The Ice cream is like Rita's... :-) We were staying at the Blue Mountain Mist and first saw you on youtube. I watched the Rita's video and took the family. Now my girls have to go every time come up there. Thanks! like I said before my family and I would love to meet you some time and treat to a desert or something.

How sweet, the rose was lovely. I like a wedge salad with homemade ranch, yummy. I like blue cheese without the cheese lol! I haven't been able to eat at a nice place like that before, I.m glad y'all got to do this and you enjoyed it too. I would be so interested in the ghosty side of the place. They should consider doing a ghost dinner like where you eat and they tell the stories of the ghosts that they have seen. Would be cool. I am really glad y'all had a good dinner and a good time.

That is such a nice place for special occasions! Happy Birthday Dawn! I was surprised that Dawn's dessert wasn't complimentary. We took our grandson out for his 20th birthday last week. We went to a local steak restaurant sort of like Texas Roadhouse. It has the best steaks. Our grandson ordered a 12 ounce ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. They surprised him and gave him a complimentary dessert of a brownie and ice cream. That was such a nice surprise.

Cool about the sorbet. I had that once it was lemon when we went to an old established seafood, steak restaurant in Huntington, NY. I don't like Iceberg lettuce could you have gotten Romaine for the Wedge? Mm I love medium well
