    One of the very few Harbor Freight videos where the operator actually knew what he was talking about and demonstrated the tool properly! Excellent! Thank You!

    Just watching your video gave me about 20 different ideas for things that I could do with it. Cool stuff! Checked them out on Harbor Freight after watching your video, and was happy to see that it wasn't super cheap like a lot of their stuff.

    Looks like a good setup. I'm not usually big on cheap tools, but my neighbor was commenting a few months ago about not being able to do the work I did because he didn't have the "high dollar, quality tools". I made him a bet, and will do a video on it soon, that I could do just as good as work with Harbor Freight tools as my regular set up. The last stove I built was done entirely with Harbor Freight stuff, I never touched my regular tools. Total cost, $317.42. Everything performed flawlessly.

    Whoa! 10' must be cool. I got it for the shear function on my wind turbine blades and realised how much more you could do after the fact. Used in combination with the spot welder all kinds of possibilities open up. You end up seeing value in little pieces of sheet metal too ... all of a sudden you can roll the side of an old microwave into a small pipe!!!

    Very neat! I use a 10' metal break for most of my metal work, but I'm limited to what I can do with it - bending cylinders and cones is definitely out of the question lol. This rig is far more versatile, thanks for sharing!

    Very interesting tool introduction. You make making things or thingy look simple. The tool creator meets the creator of tools. That spot welder is nice too. I bought an inexpensive Harbor Freight flux core welder but I guess I must have been using it wrong because my welds look like bird droppings. Lastly, great black and white clip of your dog. This single video can be a source for much more. How to slip roll to make useful tools, spot welding and dog training, etc.

    Very nice tool I Had a big Floor standing 48" H.FT.Metal Brake. It was fine For lite duty work.I purchased it to remanufacture old 1960s type ft.End loader for my Cub Cadet garden tractors .But at 10 Ga. it was to small to bend. So this looks much more useful. I have many H.Ft. tools. a Big drill press for 1,I also highly recommend there 240Volt plasma cutter I cut 3/8" steel all the time with it had it since 07.My H.FT.plama came from Italy? Thanks for sharing your new Machine.

    Pretty cool. Got turned on to your channel from Muddy Muddman (Scott) after watching with great interest all of his videos for building your own wind turbine. Got turned on to his channel from Dan Roxas. Funny how one thing leads to another! All of you guys are teaching me a lot of cool stuff that I've always wanted to learn...hopefully I'll be putting some of my own videos up on here in the next year or so. Thanks for the knowledge and the ideas!

    Thanks! I built a stand that has locking casters so I could move it around the shop (it's heavy). Thats was important so you can work with longer pieces of sheet steel...the stand is 26X33". A guy can do alot with this thing especially if you get the spot welder. Make sure you get a 20% off coupon .. they can be had by signing up for they're junk mail or even in the back of popular science catalog.

    Small world, I'm from Belgium, I've got the identical same tool, bought it 10 years ago in Germany, brand name KNUTH, but the tool is made in China. Nevertheless, it has been a great help for making metal boxes and electric switchboards, use it every week and never failed me, for its price you should not hesitate to buy it.

    You got it! In fact 18 gauge is a stretch in my opinion and I wouldn't go any thicker at any length. Keep an eye on youtube and ebay (sort by nearest) for a good deal on the bigger machines. I have seen them but don't have room or real need for the larger machines myself. If you can stick to the thin gauge stuff this thing is great. Thanks for the comment!

    One Note of caution on the plasma cutter.Be sure to use a water separator .My big air compressor went down 1 time so I used my small 30gal.roll around job.Not knowing any better I stated cutting the air compressor started up .I had no separator to catch water. Poof there went the torch.I never thought about the water vapor in the air .U cant make plasma with water vapor .A costly mistake so make sure U have bone dry air. Or U to will buy a new torch. Good luck. Wish someone had told me.

  • @belgrademachine
    @belgrademachine11 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! It says it can cut 18 gauge but thats a stretch more like 20 gauge is realistic. After watching you Sketch up tutorials lots of those parts could be made with a machine like this.We have been in the single digits and a little below over the last week but warming up now ... in Belgrade Montana.

    Agreed! I appreciate my quality tools ... many great USA made stuff can only be found at yard sales and Craigs list anymore! Sometimes a guy needs to just use a hacksaw or bastard file too. And furthermore, if you buy the cheap stuff like i did here its best to take apart and reassemble strait away .. I find that is best

    I would guess you would work magic with this machine with you origami skill. In addition, I have been thinking of rolling a parabolic curve for a solar oven of my own ... its endless. The main thing is once you lay out the money for the spot welder and this machine you can make all sorts of things spending very little or nothing. Have been super busy lately but perhaps I can pull together another demo video or two.

    Amazing coincidence on the H.F.T. plasma cutter ... I ordered one with extra tips and should be here by the end of this week. Let me know if you have any suggestions its all new to me but very excited. This sheet metal machine has its limits too. There is no way it can work with 30" of 18 gauge as advertised but still very useful.

    Thank you very much for the demo. I like this machine and the price is right but it appears it's limited to very light gauge materials. 18 guage is the thickest material listed. Thanks much! I use a lot of 16 gauge Are you aware of any machines with similiar capabilities, a similiar price but can do slightly thicker material? The bigger machines just aren't in the budget for me. Can this machine do thicker material if the length of the piece is shorter say, 6" of material?

    I would say 18 gauge is max for both roll and bend. as for the shear you can do 18 only if you clamp it down and don't try to cut more than 1 foot in my opinion
