Kareem Serageldin. Not so much because of why he was convicted and sentenced, but why was he the ONLY criminal banker incarcerated for his role in the 2008 Financial Crisis. Alternatively, I'm curious to learn about which executives and bankers were convicted of any crimes for the same economic disaster. I belive there were a small handful of individuals that were quietly investigated, and just as quietly the reports were sealed, but not much is known. Great channel!

In low cost of living state, I agree. In high cost of living cities such as Silicon Valley, 2M is not much. Many software engineers have it and they can’t retire.

@@PO-nb8qc Then perhaps relocate. It's a large, wonderful world out there. Living in SF would not be my choice of lifestyle. And if you can't retire on 2 million USD, you need to rethink your choices.

I wonder is there is anyone shorting the commercial real estate market? A lot of strange parallels between today and 2008.

If you have poor credit, why would you make matters worse by taking out a mortgage? You're an adult; you know yourself. Or should. If it's been hard for you in the past to repay debt, why would you take out a mortgage?

Basically, the theme of the 2008 mortgage crisis was don't lend to poor people, (which can vaguely mean don't lend to majority Black and Hispanics).

Why did Burry get all the press and none of the other people in this story….including Paulson? I would like to see biographies on each man who bet the same way Paulson did. Sounds as if their backgrounds and jobs were a bit different but they all came to the same conclusions.

0:42 I am sure he has skills. However, he was lucky. There are many smarter and work harder than him. I recalled many warned the subprime was going to meltdown so he was not the only one who knew. Nobody knew when it would happen. He was the lucky one to bet the market “at the right time” to win big. Just like the “big short” guy, I don’t think he could do it again in his life time!

A rags to ricjes story where you already have 2 million dollars? I dont think so. If you can barely hire any employees with 2 million dollars you're probably not doing something right.

I love your U tube podcasts but following Paulson’s trades is Waiting For Godot philosophy. Unlike George Soros. “The Man that Broke Bank Of England” Paulson’s track record since sub prime is Follow in path of others you have profiled like Newton, Pitts, Feynman and Jobs … find your own path & remember as Einstein said “ all the answers already exist just find them “
