Summer of Sonic '10, it was my first Summer of Sonic which I only found out about it 2-3 weeks before the event so got myself a ticket and it all went from there! I've met a lot of wonderful people in the community since and the energy has always been overwhelmingly positive at each SoS I've been too. SoS '16 was definitely the best yet!

Can we give the Tails reveal from the Sonic Movie an honorable mention? That changed everything for everyone who saw the movie, thinking it was gonna be a one off film. Tails appearing was a sign of people seeing their dedication being worth it and it was such a emotional moment in Sonic history.

I agree with this tenfold!! I’ve only just gotten super into Sonic days before the movie’s release, and even I jumped out of my seat and heck, got all teary eyed when that happened. I came into the movie trying to keep my expectations as low as possible, so that scene combined with how amazing the Echidna tribe’s designs and the inclusion of music from Sonic Mania just made my day. If I wasn’t fully convinced yet that this project had heart to it even past the redesign, the reassurance was all there. Seeing the movie on its opening day is something I don’t think I’ll ever forget. Thinking about how I was about to see the literal sonic movie everyone has been on edge about for years made the car ride there so suspenseful. THIS IS AN UNNECESSARILY LONG TANGENT SORRY BUT !! AS OF LATELY ID SAY THAT MAKES THE LIST

It's so amazing to see a group of people all showing their support for a company or series. I remember how people reacted during the sonic movie credits that revealed tails in the sonic movje. I really just love when these things happen and with all the crazy stuff happening we should all be remembering those good times.

People probably thought it was some kind of generations 2. They were half right.

Sonic Adventure's reveal has to be the best reveal for any video game ever. Seriously it's still interesting to watch, even after beating the game. I wish they still had that creative ambition.

The Sonic Forces reveal reaction gave me chills. It really does show how much people care about Sonic

Just that the the huge reveal of project 2017 ended up being a sub par game kind of just make me feel miffed about Sonic Forces as a whole, Still the reaction still gives me goosebumps and brings a smile to my face.

Fiery Dooter Gotta correct you there! His TRIBE was in the first movie, and even then was Knuckles not present, as at that point in time he would’ve been a young child like Sonic. Combine that with him still potentially being the Master Emerald’s latest guardian should the movie universe take that path, I’d doubt he’d be anywhere near a grand scale attack like that where he isn’t protected as well. Though the tribe does make the anticipation for Knuckles’ debut in the sequel all the more anticipating. Not only do they set up an unresolved conflict that can affect what Knuckles’ motivations are when he shows up, but the fact that we have a small glimpse of what he could look like via their designs is just so COOL. We can clearly see their scruffed up red fur, sharp knuckles, and large eyes (even some of their peach muzzles when they squint!), but their cloaks and masks still keep all of Knuckles’ other design points hidden, like his snout. So in conclusion I absolutely CANNOT wait for the day we finally see him, as unlike the first movie’s trailer, I doubt there will be room for any disappointment when he shows up, just like how it was with Tails.

To be fair, if I was at that Sonic Mania announcement when they revealed Knuckles as a playable character I would have lost my sh*t too. I love that reaction so much - the second Mania angle sounds like a football game after someone has scored. So much love - it makes me so happy.

Sigh... I wish we had Sonic conventions in the Philippines. Until that day comes, I'm adding "Attend a Sonic game convention or a Summer of Sonic convention" to my bucket list.

I love how the crowd were happy when robots were destroying building and even maybe a few people died

9:30 I always find it odd that Wreck It Ralph used the modern Sonic design even though the only Sonic arcade game shown in the film was Sonic the Fighters which looks to use the classic design. Maybe I missed something idk.

Maybe the movie was in development before generations and so the whole modern, classic design thing didn't exist, and sonic was just sonic

@@anafolie471 nah the arcade game that sonic is from in Wreck it Ralph was shown as Sonic the Fighters, which was created before the adventure era and so uses the classic design of sonic. I don't think they used classic sonic for the movie since Lizuka stated that classic sonic was a one time thing and would only appear in Generations (but we all know how that turned out)

Not sure if anything will top the 25th anniversary fan reaction if I'm being honest.

With the mania reveal it probably would have been easier to run an early demo as that game ran smoothly even on potatoes such as my old laptop

I did. I was excited to see that sonic was defeated and eggman won. Only to get a game being told with text and sonic only being shown to be totally fine and not dead just 2 minutes into the game without feeling for the loss or the doom every one was in.

My personal favorite is when the Sonic Boom voice actors did a table read on the "Fuzzy Puppy Buddies" episode. This is the dialogue Knuckles: "Aho! Looks like she's setting up for a date. Sonic: "A DATE? I- MEAN THAT'S COOL? W-WHAT DO I CARE? STOP LOOKING AT ME" Referring to SonAmy and the crowd screaming absolutely had me.

why I like this fandom, respect and appreation on their work and I feel they give that message in the sonic film when it went into cinemas around 2019, just seeing the masks with the army i felt was abit of a hint, but other than that i felt it still showed respect and sort of a distence but i felt it made it real how ''tom?'' held sonic like he was a ''dummy'' (old design dummy), just from seeing the behind the scenes really shows they did try but had to balence realisem and cartoon, think they did really well, little details showing his a animal but stands up right. Sonic Forces isn't THAT bad compared to the likes of Rise of Lyric, Lost World, and Free Riders. I for one enjoyed Forces, but I will admit it was just okay. Not bad, not good, just okay.

I liked rise of lyric, it wasn't good, but its wasn't that bad as people say. It was okay. My first play through didn't have any bugs ruining the game, which was better than any one else's playthroughs that I've seen. Still okay game. Nothing will change that.

Find it a little weird your #1 would be so bittersweet after what Forces became. So much squandered potential. Throughout all that segment I was just thinking to myself it was kinda sad how excited I personally was when that trailer came about only to see the final product 16 months later turn out the way it did. ...Kinda like how people were hyped on 06 after the very first trailer, come to think of it. "Kinda" being the key word there.
