Since The Greatest Showman OST was introduced to the world, I have heard hundreds of vocalists do this song. Almost all did a really nice job but never have I heard anyone sing it with the passion and emotion that you show. You show that with every song you choose to do and that separates you from the rest. I’ve listened to all the covers of this song and this young lady has definitely set the highest standard. What an incredible voice. The tone, the control, the awesome vibrato and the way she emotes. And you can just tell that her talent is innate. The moment she was born, she could just flat out sing. Welcome Katrina to my list of favorite singers of all time. In no particular order: Steisand, Sarah Vaughan, Gladys knight, Katrina velarde, Whitney and that Velasques lady from the philippines.

Katrina Velarde is one of those underrated singers in the Philippines who can't even have any regular shows on any tv network like Rhap Salazar, Eumee Capile, Mary Gidget dela Llana and many more. And I pity ABS-CBN for not giving spotlight for Luntayao Family (4th Impact now) who won in It's Showtime and Alisah Bonaobra for finishing 2nd place in The Voice PH, yet still need to join abroad like X-Factor UK to prove that they have a legit talent. Also, I'm not against with any performers on ASAP but does it really require a "huge fandom" to tell whether you're marketable or not? The industry is becoming more of "popularity" now rather than "pure talent". What I'm saying is, *I'm tired of seeing artists lip synching.* I think exposure on teleseryes and movies is enough and give those legit singers a break they deserve. What's happening now is like the network is waiting for these people to get recognized abroad before they can notice them. I kennat! 😑

Sad thing is she even gets copyright strikes for covering songs. Her cover of 'Don't you worry about a thing' isn't there in this channel anymore due to being claimed by the music record company for sounding so near to the quality of the original OST. and also don't even start me on her wish bus cover of 'Go the distance'. I bet if it hadn't been taken down it woyld've easily crossed 25Million+ views. Fearing of strikes, wish 107.5 didn't even upload her 'Dangerously in love' cover she sang in the bus :(
