    I love that Wallace D Wattles book, for me it's better than a lot of modern takes on this, he incorporates ideas on fasting, and it is very spiritual and from a time when the US was more basic and full of truth, you feel the grounded energy of this in his writing. My experience is that detoxing the physical vessel is a critical part of this, he is one of the few who speak about it.

    YES. I felt the disconnect and as I am a long-time student of both Dr. Chopra and the work of Wallace Wattles I saw the inaccuracies about Wallace Wattles teaching and how his teaching was wronly stated by the lady Rhonda in the interview. I suggest any of you thinking about getting this book fromRhonda Burns might want to invest your time and save your money and give credit to the teaching of Wallace Wattles. If you are a student of Abraham or not, there is a Utube video out about Jerry and Esther’s experience with Rhonda Byrnes YOU may be led it to watch🙏🏼♥️🌏🌺

    To Carol Ann Driscol. ( posted 2/26) You said "I agree " but it looks like you completely missed the point of my posts. I am saying "Shame of Chopra" because the ideas of the Secret are nonsense. You are upset that Chopra and Byrnes did not attribute those ideas to an earlier proponent of nonsense named Wallace Wattles who you agree with. Apparently the universe failed to hear my sincere desire for someone who believes in such nonsense to comprehend my comment and write back that they came to their senses. How could my desire not be not be met?

  • @JohnSmith-fj3uf
    @JohnSmith-fj3uf3 жыл бұрын

    Another Example of Chopra's poor choices. The guest is Rhonda Byrnes author of the Secret (a book and movie). Admittedly some good advice in there. It emphasizes our thoughts are important to our actual feelings feelings and behaviors. And our attitude can effect how people treat us. However it throws in the kind of nonsense that follows: A little Googling finds 50 quotes from the book. one quote : " Ask once, believe you have received and all you have to do to receive is feel good" Anyone who asked someone to go to the Prom with them and believed their love would come only to have them later change their mind or get a cold knows in this world , Ya the real world your thoughts may change your own behavior but not the behavior of other people or inanimate objects. Another gem from Ms Byrnes "Thoughts are magnetic and thoughts have a frequency. As you think thoughts they are sent out to the universe and attract things of the same frequency." Some reasons why this is absurd. Really? What is the frequency of loving child, a loaf of bread or a warm coat in winter? How is that frequency measured.? Is the frequency of thoughts desiring a loaf bread a different frequency if you are overweight versus skinny living in North Korea? The word "universe" was used. Does my lust for bread act upon distant galaxies or is language just being abused again to make an unsupported claim sound more profound?. When two countries are at war and people on each side hope their soldiers are safe and the opponents die does the number or intensity of thoughts at home effect the outcome.?

    Well, I sense that it's a bunch of bullshit, and that continuous hard work in yoga and meditation will lead one to not seek wealth in the material world. Chopra, dude, hang it up.

  • @MarpLG

    she is just saying not so advanced version of what Mr.Chopra is saying.. but actually they both are only saying half-truths.. your point is right that empirical solid truth is also truth..but also u are attracting things..Why would you need to act on distang galaxy for getting bread? u have enough energy more localy.but that is not my point. Even if you consider simple action. U have first plan in you mind and then it manifest trough gross work. For example u have first House plan and then you build house. So actually it is manifested trough mind. If you are clever,rich and u can use specific tools then you speed up that transformation of energy. Similiary this yogic powers have tools on very subtle levels.. so it is said that advanced yogis can manifest anything they can imagine directy to their hand.(of course there is limit also)

  • @JohnSmith-fj3uf

    @JohnSmith-fj3uf

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@MarpLG regarding why one would ask the universe for bread...it was a hypothetical example intended to show the absurdity of unsupported claims made by the speakers. Speakers like Chopra who claim they mentally decided to increase the length of the telomeres on the end of the DNA of each chromosome of his body and by doing this the telomeres got longer...The speakers claim the universe gives you stuff if you desire it enough. To believe this is to believe the cruel lie that the millions who have starved in famines did not desire food enough. I agree one's mind is the start of actions with your body or voice or hands... that get things done in the real world. I disagree with you that advanced yogis "can manifest anything they can imagine directly to their hand." Some of what you call "yogis" must wish to encourage others to seek their enlightenment. A big step to prove that they have something special would to be to prove it on camera in front of an organization like the Center For Inquiry that offers $250,000 to anyone who can prove a paranormal power. That would make millions take a second look and give the yogi's spiritual practices a try. If they are too spiritual to care about money they can donate it to a charity.

  • @MarpLG

    @MarpLG

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@JohnSmith-fj3uf yes those are reasonable arguments, but let first clear some points. Giving charity is not spiritual. Why should i believe objectivity of that organization? becouse they claim it? those mystic powers are not spiritual also..they are just subtle mechanics.. If someone 200y ago show you videoprojection you would definetly consider it a paranormal power. Yes, of course there are many fake yogis today but that does not mean yoga is fake. This is very hard to explain becouse it is very subjective. But for being able to percieve such activity you need to be qualified also. Not just a performer. There is very known example from Bible where Satan was trying convince Jesus to convert stone to bread. He didnt do it. But on different ocassions he did many miracles. you dont have to believe that story it just shows what i am saying. There are things which are happening beyond our perception. That is clear for any person with average IQ who saw chart of how much is visible spectrum compare to full spectrum . Another thing is then if we can acces to that spectrum with our consciousness. We may acces it with tools we consciously made so it is reasonable to think so. You cannot see my thinking but it is happening in same dimension as your thinking. So your incapability to affect my mind is only becouse you dont understand it.
