To me this is art. Some say art moves you, art evokes emotions. Art is an expression of the soul. Goaltender is the most majestic position is sports. Hands down. No other athlete in the world has to do what these guys do and with such poise, control, and beauty.

This is nice video and they have nice choice for the music. This video show us how the goaltender save the shot of their opponent. Thumbs up for all the goaltender who do their best.

I think it's great that you included some of the more "normal" looking saves as well, especially as they're in slow motion. As a goaltender coach the situations shown can be used as examples to a lot of things. Thanks for the video!

Ok guys listen. He put some "simple saves" because of how they saved it, their form, how they froze it, etc. because it can be hard to get it right. So they made "perfect" saves. They don't have to be desperation. They are still beautiful

Great editing and great tribute as well!! Good to get into the zone before a game...also a goalie of 32 years.

+DeadAndUnknown One of the most important abilities that you have to have to be a goalie is to control or prevent a rebound, bringing your hands in to the puck is an example of that.

The Fact is, the Finland is one of the most best goalkeepers-factory in the world. What the hell, IT IS STILL! Rask, Rinne, Niemi,and Lehtonen. The great saves by many seasons.

Super great video editing, really enjoyable video. Future advice: maybe make some of the footage of not saves in regular speed (like Versteeg knocking the bottles over), it was kind of hard to sit though the whole thing :)

Backup goalies that surprised me the most this season 1: Andrew Hammond 2: Calvin Pickard 3: Scott Darling 4: Michael Hutchinson 5: Andrei Vasilevskiy 6: Petr Mrazek (Only reason Cam Talbot, and Eddie Lack, aren't on here is because of how well they played last year, Devan Dubnyk doesn't count because he became Minnesota's number one goalie, Raanta isn't on here because he played very well last season plus he isn't Crawford's backup in the playoffs. Neither Jake Allen nor Brian Elliott are on here because Allen played well last year, but flopped in the playoffs, plus they acted more like a tandem than primary plus backup. The same goes for any other complaints for people who aren't on this list, they either didn't make as much of an impression on me this year, or they had played well enough in previous seasons that they didn't surprise me with their play this season. For those complaining as to why Calvin Pickard is above Scott Darling, one, his numbers are only slightly lower than Darling's and 2, Pickard doesn't play for Chicago, sorry Erik Johnson but we're not Chicago. Hammond is number one because he IS the reason Ottawa made the playoffs.)

If you're an Avs fan then you would know Reto won a few games for the Avs when Varlamov wasn't playing well, and he also backstopped the Avs to a 1-0 win against the jets at the end of the season. He is not a 3rd goalie

Cool video. Obviously a big Luongo/Panthers fan, judging by the fact Luongo makes up a quarter of the video, including shots where he isn't even making a save...

for all you haters, there arent one save in this video that we can qualified "easy" ;) goaltending is the most noble position in any sports and nothing is due to luck when its time of blocking a shot, i can tell, i am myself a keeper ;)

If the ice is too smooth you can easily slide WAYYYY out of position without even trying. Its happened to me.
