It would been a perfect WC, i mean if you really beat Germany you would have taken revenge on Spain, Argentina and Germany. Believe me, we hate Romero (our Goalkeeper back then) as much as you hate him.

The 5th goal by Robben was to overkill. He did them dirty. RvP goal is still to this day, one of the best I’ve ever seen.

It’s not really a revenge but Mexico VS Germany 1. Germany was the Champion from the 2014 World Cup and 2017 Confederation Cup .Germany and Mexico faced each other in Semifinals in the Confederation Cup which Mexico lost 4-1 . That was the last time they faced before the World Cup. 2. Mexico and Germany Faced each other at the World Cup as both debut at the World Cup 2018 Mexico beat Germany 1-0 .

It's a shame that Van Persie's goal did not win the Puskas award. It's a goal that will ne spoken about in 20, 30, 50 years because of how unique and rare it is. James' goal was incredible but not many people remember it already, plus volleys happen all the time.

If you look at the defense, with Martins Indi, Janmaat, Vlaar and De Guzman at midfield this was a very big surprise, all of them weren't even competing at the top level of the Eredivisie. Cillessen has never been a good goalkeeper. All Dutch had the feeling we would be destroyed by Spain, also seeing our performance in Euro 2012, going home with 0 points. Great achievement from coach Louis van Gaal, only in the semis out on penalties, no match lost, becoming 3rd after beating Brazil was an incredible achievement with this team.

What's top level of the Eredivisie? Janmaat and Martins Indi played at Feyenoord which became second that year not that far behind of Ajax . Vlaar and De Guzman already played in England that season. But you are right, the expectations were very low for this tournament.

Any penalty series is an automatic lose, he could save one or two penalties against Argentina easily in semis (Messi's for sure). He was somewhat okay in his younger years, but became so unsure. Even got benched at Valencia, even Ajax didn't want him back. And he's still our first goal keeper 😅

True, but Spain as it turned out was seeing out a very bad phase in their history. Their golden generation's best days were gone(2008-2013) since loosing to Brazil 3-0 one year prior. And the Netherlands caught fire in this tournament, an underrated squad even if their success was very brief.

Arjen Robben might seem to be underrated if you're mainly watching spectacular long range goals, but his list of achievements is huge. He worked hard & ran fast to get through defences to score from close range. In terms of league premierships, he was almost always on the winning team. Managers knew they could count on him to help make it happen. There must be thousands of elite players who are envious of his number of premiership medallions.

@Sebastiaan Berk Spain did a 6-0 on Germany, this happens more often than you think. What’s important is what people will remember and that’s the titles. Even though Spain did a 6-0 on Germany and Argentina in recent times it doesn’t mean they have a better futbol history, both Germany and Argentina have more world cups than Spain.

That headed goal by van Persie still gives me goosebumps. This was the day the Spanish Armada was obliterated 🙏👍

Danny is his father and of corse his son lern from him. Old school backs long passes with high presission. Same as Frank de Boer long pass to Bergkamp against Argentina in 1998. Its all about work it hard and use it as a strategy.

The Greatest revenge happened back in 1990. In 1982 West Germany lost world cup final to Italy and in 1986 they lost final dramatically to Argentina 2:3. Being 2 goals down West Germany managed to equalize, but at the very end of the game Argentina got another one and Germany lost again. So when they met Argentina 4 years later in the final and defeated them, that was really the greatest revenge ever. Netherlands is the only team in history who has reached world cup final 3 times and lost all of them. That victory over Spain back in 2014 was very sweet indeed but hardly anything more than that.

Переброска истребителей МИГ-21 осуществлялась в разобранном виде самолётами Ан-12. Боевое дежурство группы началось 1 февраля 1970 года. Участие советской авиационной группы в боевых действиях 135-й истребительный авиационный полк квартировал на авиабазах Ком-Аушим и Бени-Суэф и был поставлен прикрывать Каир с юго-восточного направления, а промышленные объекты центральной части Египта и Асуанский гидроузел с северо-восточного, между Сохненской и Заафаранской долинами.
