Occasionally I rewatch World's cutscenes, and one stand-out is how fast Legiana is able to move and how quickly it's able to decelerate. Sometimes you have to be grateful monsters generally don't replicate their cutscene feats in-game.

So Luna can towards the end outpace the Rajang, but he also ends up facing tge wrong way.
