@@sickboy6663 Agreed that Busby transformed the club massively. Top manager (even though he did drop my pen and run off when I was getting autographs at OT as a kid. He was about 76 at the time so he didn't need the hassle). But with Alex Ferguson, we were really going nowhere when he took over, the year after the Matt Busby pen thing. Without him, we now could be the sorta side that's up and down divisions, still with a fifty odd thousand ground. The trophies he won just edges Sir Matt for me, but it's definitely close. I see a certain Dutchman as the third in that Holy Trinity.

@@SpotlessLeopard Nice story mate! For me, i cant seperate them. I agree with everything youve said about SAF, however think what Busby had to do. Came in after OT was bombed in the war and built the 1st incarnation of the babes. Playing with kids hadnt been heard of at that point, and that team was on course to dominate world football. Tragedy struck, and Matt should really have died in that hospital, but he didnt. He came back to a team of made up unknowns, and a decade later built another team that won the Eurpoean Cup. Had it not been for Matt and Jimmy Murphy, there wouldnt be a Man Utd as we know it. Completly agree about 10H. I just hope he stays around to build a legacy 👍

Arguably the greatest manager ever. I highly doubt we'll ever see anyone achieve what he achieved again. Not only was he a serial winner he was the boss of all bosses. There's a reason why other managers go to SAF the influence & know how he processes. Fact he rebuilt team after team whilst still maintaining extremely high standards dealing all kinds of different characters & personalities throughout his tenure the respect he had from all his players he managed speaks volumes.
