They had to take her out for the story to continue. She was too powerful. Imagine if she met Deku and placed a rule on him. Deku, can use One for all 100 percent with no draw back.....story over lol. Loved this episode.

That won't happen. Don't forget she put a rule on herself to be as strong as all might and that is not possible so Deku would also be restricted at the moment.

@@rikumajumder1558 yeah but Deku already has 100% the power of All Might, she doesnt need to give any power to him, Star just needs to allow him to use it without dying. She could physically strengthen his body as if Deku had trained for a few more years and thats all he needs. We learned this in the early seasons, Deku just needs more time to build his body up to withstand 100%. New Order can circumvent that.

Star's death was sad but it was also METAL AS HELL! Some people downplay what she did but buying them more time and destroying a bunch of quirks is huge. It's also notable that this happened because of All Might's influence. That ties into Stain's point last season about "this is a process".

I’d call Star and Stripe a “one hit wonder,” but honestly, I get the feeling she knew she could never top how amazing this fight was so she took the W while she had it. Mad respect.

Star was so cool, can't believe she was only around for 2 EPISODES 😭😭

I knew she was only gonna last one or two episodes from the moment Shigaraki showed up, he has plot armor and no one is supposed to defeat him until the end of the show, and only Deku can do that, no one else

*A hero doesn’t go down without a fight. If I’m being honest, even though she was only around for a little bit, it was still devastating to see this happen.*

I love how smug AFO is. "Oh. I knew those comics had a different ending than the one I wanted. So I simply decided to stop reading." During his speech to Yoichi back in S5, he said he would simply remake reality if he didn't like it. But when he got his hands on a quirk that could basically remake reality, it quite literally blew up in his face. And Shigaraki's. Speaking of which, it seems to be even harder to tell the distinction between who is currently in the driver's seat. Because at one moment we see AFO thinking back on his own memories with Yoichi. But a few seconds earlier we saw Shigaraki say, "I can control decay now" and he thinks back on his fight in S6 when he woke up. It just shows how much AFO and Shigaraki have melded together. Which is honestly pretty scary. As we saw in this episode, Shigaraki basically has a nasty combo. He can immediately steal someone's quirk and then decay them once he's done. And his regeneration isn't anything to play with either. He went from having no hair and looking like bacon that had gotten a bit too burnt to perfectly fine in a few seconds. Star went out with a smile though. She understood that it was over the moment her face was grabbed. So she already had a contingency ready. A way to destroy Shigaraki from the inside out. Also, this is the second time AFO has made fun of someone for not being alive. Savage. Star gave everything to buy the world just a little more time. Because All Might inspired her on that day. Rest in peace, Cathleen Bate. She left Shigaraki and AFO with one final message. That as long as someone inherited the will of a hero, they would be struck down. And inside the mass of Shigaraki and AFO, we see Tenko Shimura think of Midoriya.

To be fair AfO is always alive and conscious within Shigaraki. Him thinking of the memories can happen at any time regardless of how mixed they are. When the drivers seat is shared we can hear it

Star is Pretty much Rengoku. New badass character who is one of the strongest Hero (Not All Might / Gyomei level but still very strong. Fights one of the stronger (the strongest in Shiggy's case) and loses while impacting the story in different ways.

AFO really went back to trash talking after screaming for his life. The pettiness is unreal. 😂

COMPANY SALUTE! RIP Cathleen Bate/Star and Stripe, for a brief moment you surpassed All Might.

Star really showed up, smashed the villains and then left. Never in my life have I been so devastated to see someone I’ve seen for only two episodes die. But y’know what? She went out like a total champion!

What a fantastic way to use Star's character. We get to see this absolute badass of a woman pull up and give us one of the highest stakes, most impressive fights we've ever seen in My Hero, get emotionally attached instantly, watch her go down, and then, even in death, deal the biggest blow to AFO that we've ever seen on screen. She absolutely destroyed him, and in the most satisfying way possible. She might not have been here long, but her presence will forever have damaged ShigiAFO in ways no one else can do. And her inclusion in the story allows for the realistic inclusion of other countries while still keeping the focus on Japan. She really is a legend.

I'm not gonna say it was fantastic. The actual fight was good, and her actual character is good, but she was still a poorly written plot device. Like imagine if other series did nonsense like this.

The only issue I have with this is the very quick disposal of star. No build up or anything despite her being a major side character. The reason is understandable, but it needs a bit more build up before she dies at least.

To play devils advocate, AFO has been ''in his mind'' ever since he was a child, grooming him to become a sadistic murderer with no remorse. That doesn't mean that the core of his personality and being has changed, it's simply been warped and twisted until you can barely recognize it.
