@@LyonHall1 Really, Fuhr was just a league-average goalie his whole career, but had an all star team in front of him. I mean, you contrast that to Ken Dryden in the 70s, another goalie people say is boosted by his team, in the 70s, the 2 seasons the Habs played the regular season without Dryden they averaged 98 pts, but averaged 110 pts WITH dryden. He's a player who deserves his accolades.

Derry McGuinness I’m guessing it is due to Ace Bailey’s incident with Eddie Shore where Shore almost killed him with a hit. I’d recommend reading about it, as well as reading about Shore. Special man.

MAN! I miss Hockey... anyway, I don't know... I love Holtby, and maybe it is nostalgia, but numbers aside, Godzilla (Olaf Kolzig) I think was the better Caps goalie. He would've won the Stanley if it weren't for the entire Caps team collapsing against one tough Red Wings team (I still shudder remembering Esa Tikkannen missing that open netter in the 2nd game). Kolzig might have won other individual trophies if it weren't for him playing during the same era as some all-time greats like Roy, Hasek, Belfour, Cujo, Richter... Great list, though.

Solid list. I think I had more disagreement in the honorable mentions than the number 1 picks. Nikolai Khabibulin has to be honorably mentioned with Tampa, Vernon in Calgary, and Price, great as he is, can't touch Roy, Plante and Dryden's accomplishments. However, Ed Belfour needs to bump Turco to an honorable mention in Dallas. Eddie won a cup, took them to the finals against NJ and would most definitely have won more if he wasn't competing against three dynasty worthy teams in Col, NJ and Det.

Plante is a solid choice, but up against Dryden (6 cups and 5 Vezinas in only 7 full seasons of play) and Roy (singlehandedly won the cup for two mediocre teams, plus most wins all-time before Brodeur), that's a tight call. And let's not forget the likes of George Hainsworth (22 shutouts in a 44 game season!) or that guy they named the best goaltending trophy after! Then there's Carey Price (whom you mentioned), Bill Durnan, Gump Worsley, Bunny Larocque, Jose Theodore, Rogie Vachon. Clearly they are the most storied franchise in NHL history for a reason.

    - Chicago I'd give it to Corey Crawford (2013 & 2015 Cup). - Pittsburgh I'd give it to Matt Murray (2016 & 2017 Cup) although Fleury for Vegas is 100% correct and probably a more popular pick for Pittsburgh. If Murray hasn't replaced Fleury in 2016 and 2017, I don't think they would have won those cups. Imagine Pittsburgh with only 1 Cup win in the Crosby era. I don't mind people disagreeing with me on this. I just feel Fleury has been amazing for Vegas, but he was hit and miss for Pittsburgh, despite being on the team for 3 cups. Murray has been solid the whole way for Pittsburgh and won 2 cups for them. I realize Fleury was there too, but I give more credit to Murray for the 2 recent Cup wins. Barrasso was also good. Picking Fleury is completely legitimate and probably more popular, but I prefer Murray. - Dallas it has to be Belfour. Won the cup in 1999. Had 14 wins in 2000 and 10 wins in 1998. His GAA and Save % were absolutely ridiculous during those 3 years in the playoffs. - Hasek is the greatest of all time. I 100% agree on that. If goalies today had to play with the same equipment he played with, he would still be the best today given his youth back. - Ilya Bryzgalov is not someone who I thought very highly of as a goalie, so it's hard for me to put him on this list. I'd say Mike Smith is a better pick for the Coyotes. It's a really tough one because the Coyotes haven't had much success yet. I understand why you picked Bryzgalov. Mike Smith won 9 playoff games in 2012 and played his heart out. That's why I'd prefer him.
