A Father's love for his daughter

This is one sweet, happy , giving and kind father. She is blessed to have his love and covering.

Dad, you have not taught your daughter to be responsible. I have seen marriages where the bride’s overspending has destroyed her marriage. This is sad.

We told our new son in law after the wedding no refunds or exchges they just celebrated their 25th anniversary this month!

I guess his point is to remind her and everyone else in the room about how much she depends on him alone and how much he has done and how she needs his help as the provider and protector in her life and basically telling and reminding her and everyone else that she is daddy's little girl and yes he's "The Man" on the flip side he's finally relieved to be free of the financial burden and responsibilities but the way he's going about it seems a little more like flexing and less like complaining if you can listen with an open mind of course!

Dad, the best thing you can do for your kid is to STOP paying her bills. You aren't teaching her a darn thing about being responsible.

Oh I'm pretty sure she was embarrassed. The only one who should be embarrassed is dad for paying her bills in the first place.

Sorry, as "cute" as this might sound, I found it embarrassing and humiliating for this daughter, and I would have vetoed this type of speech from my husband at our daughters wedding. Thank heaven, he had more class than this dad.
